[News] Another Year Of Luxury With Joe Flacco

28 posts in this topic

Good article. I am very happy to have Flacco as our starting QB. I just cant wait to see them get Flacco's contract restructured so we can keep having him start for us and get other players extended. I know it's probably in the off season I just don't want to see a long drawn out process to get it done.

It is so nice to finally have stability at the QB position and know we have a guy who can take it to another level in the playoffs.

LUXURY is exactly the right word to describe Joe, a solid, successful and arguably elite QB who gives us a legit chance each and every year to be in contention. Can't ask for more than that.

I can honestly say there is not a single QB in the NFL that I would rather have than Joe Flacco. Well, to be honest maybe Aaron Rogers but that is the only one. Joe is better or has a brighter future than all of the rest.

Hard to believe back in '05 we drafted Mark Clayton 2 picks b4 GB selected Rodgers. No wonder Ozzie has been so gun shy about WRs.

Joe is a class act! Top to bottom, front to back. I, like coach Harbaugh, am exited to see how Joe preforms for the up coming season, and seasons beyond with this young team !

I looked at the pictures in the other article too. I didn't realize Harbaugh was our QB at one time; irony! I liked McNair, but never liked Testeverde. Had high hopes for Troy Smith. That's the worst picture of Cunningham ever; makes him look like he can't throw.

Yeah....and Pluto is not a planet but a dwarf planet. Flacco is not an elite QB but a Great winning QB. It is all someone else's opinions. Who cares! We have a few more SuperBowls yet to come and just guess who our QB will be......hee hee

Elite QB: a quaterback who will put up big numbers year in and year out....even from game to game. Dan Foust was probably an elite QB... he put up huge numbers game to game and year to year. I would even say that Carson Palmer, Phillip Rivers and even say Kurt Warner may have been considered Elite. Then There are winning QBs - Roger Staubach, Terry Bradshaw, Bart Starr... Joe Flacco.... they may not put up the biggest numbers...week in and week out... they usually dont finsih in the top 10 in passing stats every year... but every year they give their team a chance to win. The play within the team, with in the system and within themselves. they are content with winning not being the top fantasy players every year. Ask most owners who they would rather have. I am glad we have Joe over many of the elite qb's in the game!

Ia till find it hard to believe that grown people are going into long and endless debates over whether Flacco is a kind of QB ("elite") that doesn't even have a definition.

I couldn't care less whether Flacco can be called "elite" as long as he predictably takes the Ravens to the playoffs and keeps them winning there season by season...

Call him what you wanna call him... He's our qb and I wouldn't want it any other way. And he's just entering his prime so the best is yet to come.

The Ravens were not in the Super Bowl for one reason. The defense could not stop the Patriots after Joe led them to 2 14-point leads. Still the take-away is what if Joe didn't throw the ball, what-if Torrey went after it more aggressively. To me, what if the secondary offered more resistance than a wet paper towel? Give Joe his credit. With constant change of OC, system, players, since 2011 he has put the team in position to win Championships

Joe is the best QB this franchise ever had. Before Joe we were the Browns, a different QB ever year, sometime 2 or 3 in a season. I don't believe in this elite crap. Joe is great and has the best QB rating come playoffs. Mr. January will win us another SB or 2.

He can keep being the 'luxury' QB by helping our team retain our other stars. Shave that 27mill bogus next year joe. Win us another SB

Joe has a strong arm and doesn't run, he will be in Bmore for years and years to come! Sounds like he will be that box of baking soda in the back of the fridge! I just want Super Bowls!

It's nice to know our SB-winning QB will be around for awhile. I remember the days when any QB on the roster made fans cringe.

The stark difference between having a franchise QB and not having one can't even be put into words. Just in regards to the draft alone, what a blessing to not have to worry about finding one because you already have one of the very best on your roster. All us Ravens fans have to do is to think back through our entire history before Joe. Yeah, we got a SB win, but our defense got us there that year. And, truth be told, Billick made a HUGE mistake dumping Trent Dilfer for Elvis Presley, oops sorry, I meant Grbac. Dilfer wasn't sensational, by any means, but he played within his own abilities, kept us in games, didn't try to do too much, and gave our defense all they needed to win for us. Grbac was Not an improvement. But, thankfully, that's all behind us and it's all because of Joe Flacco. We're blessed to have him.

How many other QB's do you see take a shot in the back from JJ Watt and then get up in Watts face and ask JJ Watt what are you trying to do. No one but Joe. One tough cool Joe. Had we drafted Matt Ryan he would have never made it this far. Now get us a kick returner please. I wanna win SB 50 so bad I can taste it. We need a kick returner and right now I don't see one.

"I really believe that this is Joe's time", Harbaugh continued. "We're all in this together and it's a team effort, and Joe's going to hit the peak of his career right now. I couldn't be more excited about it. I'm looking forward to not just this year, but the next few years with Joe Flacco."

Me too and I can't wait to see how our receivers mature with him!!

Every offseason about 18 to 20 of the NFL`s teams are looking for a starting QB and for 12 years the Ravens were one of those teams. So all of this is Joe Flacco ELITE talk is BS you need a franchise QB in this league to be consistently good not an elite one so lets move on from that talk because the Joe Flacco level of QB is very very hard to find.

I remember the play Barney S. Joe did say it. You could read his lips. He also stared Watt down after the cheap hit in the back Watt threw at him.

I don't see a kick returner either. As a former special teams coach with Philly Harbs must be searching for one.
