[News] Byrne Identity: Smells And Looks Like Football; How Did Ravens Do In Offseason?

18 posts in this topic

Seems like for the most part they nailed everything they set out to do in Jupiter. Although a few things weren't disclosed obviously. Still a fantastic offseason regardless, now let's get through camp injury free And start the journey to San Fran.

"And start the journey to San Fran."

One Raven already made it. Not a coincidence that the weekend after the super bowl a Raven is strutting around the site of THIS years SB; a sign of whats to come this year....

Well Ravens fans I am so happy that training camp has started now all I have to do is start saving for this season tickets.I would like to save enough for 4 games this year. They told me this they told me that, but now I want to see for myself, mainly how great this team will be, This was the best draft (In my opinion) they have done since coming to Baltimore. If they are right I might can win some money off our wins and go to Jupiter and watch this team bring home the trophy again. Thanks John, Ozzie, Steve and the ones that lost the bets to me.lol.

Maxx Williams is the best TE in this years class, but I wonder where he rates against Tyler Eifert, Zach Ertz, Eric Ebron, Austin Seferian-Jenkins, & Jace Amaro from 2 previous classes.

I looked this up a few months ago out of sheer curiosity. Based on his NFL.com draft grade, he would have been tied for second highest rated TE in the last class, tied with Troy Niklaus, and only behind Ebron. The previous years used a different grading scale so I couldn't compare.

Thanks Tx; that's what I wanted to hear. We got a good one. :29:  :29:

I like Waller too. I think he could be huge for us. What's not to like? Size and speed and really still learning to be a WR. I like the fact that he did have 4.3 speed when he was smaller but Man, a guy that size with some speed and strength Look Out. Ravens are going to be Hot this year. That Harvard professor was smoking crack when it comes to his opinion about the Ravens.

So glad the Ravens picked Mosely instead of Ebron, who basically did nothing last year for the Lions and they're a passing team.

DT Carl Davis. Let's not forget him. Future Bully...ha ha. SB 50 is a milestone extravaganza and I would be proud to be a part of it. Winning is the only option. The Ravens defense will decide who wins the AFC just like last year.

Last 3 posts were spot on! 2014 Ravens pick Mosley instead of Ebron...wow what a pick difference now get Maxx to fill the rookie TE position. DT Carl Davis is a beast and he can learn form a group of young quick DT and DE players. If he develops, he can push 3 guys back and sack the QB... remember Naghta who? Lastly Waller could be the biggest surprise at WR. We expect Perriman to produce and make an impact but Waller, if and when the opportunity presents itself, looks very very promising! Go Ravens!

I have a hard time seeing how this off season could have been much better. We have more talent and more quality depth than we've ever had before.

There are a lot of guys that are expected to step up and prove themselves...KLM, Urban, Davis, Butler, Perriman, Waller and Williams. I fully expect all of these players to perform well this year. If at least half of them excel we will have one of the best teams in the NFL. There is a solid group of veterans, many pro bowlers, that will help to bring them up to speed. Both the offense and defense will be strong in the trenches and that wins a lot of games.

I think the Ravens FO put together one of the best teams we have ever had. I am as excited as I have ever been going into a season. If we can stay healthy, I can see us hoisting another Lombardi and I rarely have this much confidence.

If John strings together a few more playoff wins and a couple of SB victories, he is a surefire HOF Head Coach! As for our rookie class of 2015, 3 yrs from now, they will be hailed as one of the best draft classes of the entire league.

I think that the Ravens had an Excellent off-season. The draft was awesome, the rebuilding of the secondary was very promising, and, for the most part, we were able to sign our FAs that we wanted. The one exception was Ngata's refusal to give an inch during extension negotiations. That's ok, though. Really, if he really did want to put his own self interests so much above the team's, well, then I don't mind seeing him go, and I think that we do have the personnel to absorb the loss. As for Harbaugh's HOF chances, if he keeps on putting seasons together like he has, there should be little doubt that he deserves serious consideration. Of course, nobody's perfect. I still believe that John's weakness is his clock management and in-game decision making, but his obvious strengths FAR outweigh those shortcomings. Yeah, I'm a Harbaugh fan and I hope we have him here for a very long time to come. He was a Great hire Mr. Bisciotti, who just happens to be the best owner in the NFL.
