[News] Late For Work 7/24: Torrey Smith's Brilliant Response To Joe Flacco Elite Question

41 posts in this topic

On android that can kind of be prevented with Xprivacy, but still, that is the most disturbing thing, tracking you all the time. We don't want to be chiped and tracked and traced.

The second thing is that how hard can it be to hire someone to actually develp emoji icons? Why screw up something this simple? I was all ready to go and install it, but I think I'll wait until it is fixed. Plus they didn't even put 89 in there (or apparently even let you string 8 and 9 together), so there is that. Come on, he made the offense last year and was giving out tickets to PSL owners this year.

I really hope that Ravens web people read this and get the problem fixed by the time the season starts.

Yeah, looks like they contracted out to a developer (Swyft Media), it was on my phone for about 5 minutes. My biggest issues are the astronomical size of the emojis and the fact that it's not integrated with my actual keyboard, instead it's similar to a pop-up on a browser.

I'm with you: we all obviously love the team and I'd use it in a heartbeat but it's not a good product at this point.

I don't think there was too much of a question to begin with...

KO is great, too, and can become a Yanda 2.0 - but right now Yanda is the way. Barring injuries (and injuries can happen to KO, too...) he absolutely has AT LEAST 4-5 more good years in him - and i mean "Yanda good".

I still don't think its that black and white.  We all already knew he was one of the top offensive linemen in the NFL.  The questions are:

Are the Ravens willing to pay a lineman the kind of money Yanda would get on the free market?

Do they want to save a couple million by signing a great player, instead of signing the best player?

Would they rather invest in a player that will be around for 4 or 5 years, or a player that they think they could keep around for 8-10 years(yes, i know there is no guarantee he will resign with the Ravens in 4 or 5 years, but that has to be on their mind)?

Personally my gut tells me this is a team that likes to invest in the future and would rather save money so they can sign other players, so they are probably going to resign KO. But with KO's back injury in 2013 and the games he missed in 2014 I think he has some red flags and Yanda might be their best choice.

Joe is ELITE end of Story. FS1 says it best.... SB MVP, makes playoffs every year just about, arguable greatest SB Run ever. This isnt even a question anymore except for ESPN and their bias, they are the only ones who dont see Flacco as elite.

Fox Sports sees him as Elite and a future HOFR which he is his resume says so...

Redskins, Browns, and Ravens just doesn't sound right in a sentence; it's like talking about Montgomery community College, Cuyahoga community college, and Harvard University....

To all of those defending Flacco you don't need to. He is going to shut everyone up himself this year. The lowly media writes many articles to draw attention to themselves or their stories. Without any shock factor, no one would care what they have to say. I easily see us competing for the Lombardi in January and February. Hopefully Billacheat and Luck can't stop us. You already know Carroll will blow a big game to get cute.

PS: Draft Flacco in Fantasy

Even though the Steelers are our bitter rivals. I have alot of respect for coach Tomlin. The way he's outspoken, holds his players accountable, and straight to the point with the media reminds me of our coach Harbs. I'm glad he got an extension.

Harvard: you're great at Law. Leave Football and Science to everybody else.

Marshal Yanda isn’t just the best guard in football.

He’s the best offensive lineman, period.

...

“I’d be willing to argue that aside from J.J. Watt and Aaron Rodgers, no one in the league had a more comfortable margin as the best player at his position than Yanda,” wrote Mays.

“It’s pretty simple. Right now, no offensive lineman is dominating the line of scrimmage like he is.”

i remember saying things like this a month or two ago and being told i was way off. Some silly argument about all LTs automatically being better or something like that...lol. Edited by riseNConquer81

The emoji app DOES NOT WORK they are images. Not keyboard characters. I wouldn't promote a faulty product.

No emoji is a keyboard character, they are all images.

The only difference between the Ravens' ones and the ones you normally use from your keyboard is that the latter are encoded into the unicode standard and are thus universally recognized by all devices (which is why you dont have to download a seperate app to use them).

If Mr. Bisciotti gets in good with a few members of the Unicode Consortium and convinces them to add our team's emoji to the standard, then you can use them from the keyboard (and other people you send them to will actually be able to decode and view them).

but for now, you need to accept the "emoji keyboard" for what it is: which is an image library done in the emoji style.

All that said: referring to it as an "emoji keyboard" is kind of misleading for most people.
