Walker is an injury situation - knee tendonitis, I believe.

Oh ok. I just assumed he missed because of test. Having a injury isn't good for him because he's in a crowded DL room. He can't afford to miss any time imo.

Perriman isn't practicing today, but we probably expected that after falling on his knee yesterday.

Yea knowing you'll probably be going really hard Saturday and Sunday with pads, allowing him to sit today seems best. But on the flip side we have heard Harbs speak about injuries not being serious only for the player to miss a couple weeks. So I'll be interesting to see how Perriman responds and works through bumps and bruises.

I had him as my sleeper too, on the account that's he's the truest backup at NT we have.  I'm hoping he gets back on the field soon.  A lot of people are counting him out, but I think he has a real shot, pending he can get on the field of course.

Under the radar pick Tray Walker showed really nice agility. Moves very well for tall corner.

He had a drop or two yesterday but that's to be expected. Honestly i think his hands are vastly overblown. People only report on his drops because he had a bad wrap for drops in college. That's cool but because of that knock, one drop will get a ton of mentions. Guys like TO, Steve Smith and Brandon Marshall are high drop guys but you never really hear about that part of then because they are reliable in most cases. If Perriman continues to do exactly what he's been doing since putting on that Ravens uniform he'll quite all the talk about his drops and make people focus on his talents.

You could be right about that because I read that Butler had some drops yesterday and I remember he was the talk of the town after OTA's because he caught everything that was thrown his way. I guess we should not focus on a few drops each day unless it becomes a serious problem throughout camp and preseason.

Yea the Pats were upset when we snatched him off their PS. They just had too much talent and money playing in front of him but they definitely wanted to keep him. But with the Ravens he definitely has a place because as u said he's more of a natural NT. While Davis can rotate there i see him used more like Ngata has been.

I don't think picture taking is allowed.

Correct.  Phones need to be off and away from the time the first horn sounds to the time the last one sounds.

Per Matthew Stevens, Maxx Williams is having a good day. Looks raw but, certainly big, physical and imposing. Sounds about right

I became a fan a couple months ago during minicamp. Don't necessarily agree with everything he says but his practice reports were much different from what seems to be the basic reportings.

Do any of you all follow Jon Meoli?  Sounds like Matt Scab is still in the habit of throwing pick sixes. They seriously need to look at a competition at the #2 QB spot.

Yeah I think Matt has done well so far. I'm not a huge fan of his articles, but I think that'll improve with experience. He's done great covering practice so far, though.

What about Monday? Pads ? No pads?

I don't think it'll be any different from years past. It'll be padded but not live contact. The highlight of the practice for me are the 1 on 1 WR vs CB and the 11 on 11 portion.

Agreed. Although i think we should hold a contest next year that designates 2 flock members to attend all practices for "The Flock Report". I honestly think there are some guys hear who are very knowledgeable and would provide some good reports based on the hotest topics of the Flock.

I want to point out how much I appreciate Bobby Engram.  I don't even know if there's a real basis for this, but I get the feeling that he's really helping out these young WRs.  It's nice to have a guy with the type of career that he had out there teaching these guys how to do it.

He did it all with technique too.

Exactly.  I didn't see him in the early parts of his career, but towards the end, I remember him as being extremely polished.

Wrote an article on him earlier in the week. He'll be a hot name 5 years from now.
