Seems like we can just expect that Carl Davis won't be doing anything this year. Seems like after he was drafted he just vanished.

Carl Davis is going to get plenty of snaps

Yeah, I'd like to wait until at least 2 weeks after the vets have reported before I'll decide that a rookie will be shelved for the year.

What? It's July. Man it almost makes you miss when the NFL wasn't covered so extensively. Asinine judgments like this wouldn't happen.

With that type of thinking, 1/2 of the starters who didn't get much press during OTA's and mini-camp should be benched also.

You mean it's not mid season already? I though it was already known that Perriman was a bust, Pees is playing too much prevent, Gilmore is nothing more then a #2, Marlon Brown is cut and Carl Davis was a waste of a pick. Glad there is still a Training Camp, Preseason and Regular season to be played, there is still something to look forward to.

Where do you get this? How did you think he won't be doing anything this year? Did one of the Coaches inform you or did Davis tell you?

Yeah I was wondering the same. The guy was featured heavily in the rookie mini camp videos.

Howeveeeeerrrr.... Elam has turned the ship around and is tearing it up with 30 tackles, 5 INTs, 4 forced fumbles and a pick six. Not too bad for 8 games ;)  (fingers crossed)

yea it's just annoying that at this point in the season there's still a 4-way tie for the division lead. Need to do something to separate ourselves in the next couple practices. XD

Webb is MIA:

CB Lardarius Webb is only starter absent from first day of #Ravens training camp

We'll get clarification on Lardarius Webb's status from Harbaugh after practice. He dealt with a lower back injury last training camp.

@AaronWilson_NFL: Ravens cornerback Lardarius Webb isn't injured, according to a source.

Webb gets banged up pretty easy it seems anyways and he knows what he has to do so I won't get too concerned about it

Sounds like Melvin replaced Webb with the first team defense and Perriman is putting on a show early.

And it sounds like Melvin looked pretty good out there, too.

Yea, i really think the secondary will make that same time turn around that the oline made last year. Jimmy really developed in a lock down guy before getting hurt last year. Having him in the lineup properly slots guys like Melvin, Arrington and even Webb.

That's generally how it is with our best D players

Joe's transformation from his rookie year can't go unnoticed haha.  I'm a guy and I'm not afraid to sit here and admit that he looks much better than this now...

@Ravens: Harbs: CB Lardarius Webb did not pass his conditioning test and is on PUP. WR Breshad Perriman fell on his knee, may miss a day or two.

Breshad Perriman left field with trainer didn't appear serious Lardarius Webb not practicing due to not passing initial conditioning test

They said earlier that all Ravens passed the conditioning tests.  Oh Webby.  You would think that WRs & DBs should be able to pass the conditioning tests with a fair amount of ease.

Perriman fell on his knee?..........Bust.

Its nice to have substantial football stuff back.
