[News] Jimmy Smith Ready To Be A Franchise Corner

34 posts in this topic

Nice to know Jimmy has matured in a lot of ways, becoming a father helped to quickly grow him up and becoming engaged to the mother of his child is a perfect way to add stability to his life. Best wishes on and off the field this year and going forward. Maybe Jimmy will finish his career here, too.

I have to hand it to Jimmy, the guy put his troubles behind him, matured, and kept himself clean. I am very impressed. BTW, he has developed into one awesome cornerback for us and I think we all pray he stays healthy.

Jimmy is such a good corner, I hope he imparts some of his wisdom to the young WRs and helps them learn how to get open in the NFL. If the receivers don't run their routes correctly and crisply I hope he slaps them around until they learn proper technique.

Really looking forward to a healthy season for Jimmy to help get us over the hump and back to the Super Bowl. Off topic, but the 2014 Ravens show on the NFL network just aired. If you want to get psyched up for 2015, make sure you don't miss the replay of it real late tonight or DVR it. Check the listings. You DON'T want to miss this excellent look at last season. If you can tolerate getting any more amped than you already are for the 2015 season, this coverage will do it for ya.

I always liked Jimmy even when he struggled in coverage. he would be looking in the backfield on play action and get burned a lot. I knew he had the talent the size and physicality he needed to be dedicated to his craft. I'm waiting for Jimmy to ball out!

Torrey Smith, Marshall Yanda, and Jimmy Smith are amongst my favorite players. Hopefully, Ozzie doesn't try to make a low ball offer to Yanda- he finally deserves to be paid as one f the best and most respected guards in the NFL.

The belief in Jimmy Smith example can inspire other CB's to give a {your choice of word} about tackling and coverage. Matt Elam should have his locker in the same room.

After his 2nd injury I just can't trust him to be reliable... so whatever positive production we get from him, great

He had two injuries and so did Dennis. So are  both players are in the same conversation??

Ozzie re-signed Jimmy at the perfect time. I'm ready to watch Jimmy and Webby covering Perriman in practice. Breshad will be challenged to make the catch. I hope he has better hands than former WR Patrick Johnson. Speed is only part of it.

Jimmy is arguably my favorite Raven behind Sizzle. Im a little biased from being a former CB myself, so I know how hard it is to cover the best athletes on the field all the while going backwards. Of course he is going against the best athletes in the world and he excels in that aspect!! Even as a rookie when he would get beat on double moves, i always said, once he gets in the film room and matures a little bit he will be a top corner in this league. I just pray he stays healthy from here on out. Cuz being a former CB i love to see CB shine especially ravens DBs, so ball out and get them picks and pick-6s!!!

2 days of training camp and no updates on what's been happening? What's up?

Assuming it's all classroom stuff and equipment fitting.

I fully believe in Jimmy and Webby. They will allow our D-line and linebackers to literally eat good morsels of QB meat the entire season!

I'd still expect the general rundown of who's fit, who's fat, who's got trash mouth or something of the sort, that's actual news.

Considering the fact that no other media outlet is reporting ANYTHING reagarding rookie training camp, it's pretty safe to say, what they've done the past few days is closed to the media or isn't news worthy.

Jimmy and kendrick each pick off Peyton week 1. Would be sweet if jimmy took it to the house too, good way to let everybody know he's back on the scene and ain't playin around.

If Jimmy and Web stay healthy this year our D will be amazing. We are strong everywhere, we just need to stay injury free as possible.
