Ray Lewis

12 posts in this topic

I could have sworn I read on this forum about a month or two ago that he was definitely staying in Baltimore. It was some article on MASN.com I think...
But now I keep seeing his name come up again and the discussions are resurfacing...Whats going on?

I have not heard a thing. I assume that as far as Ray is concerned, he will not speak of it until after the season (Raven's season anyway).

I have no doubt that he will finish his career here, none whatsoever. It would be a crime for the Raven's to let him go. We will certainly know more by February!

The way he says my guys, and the fun he is having. It would be pure selfishness on his part or the ravens not to get it done.

The Ravens front office memorialized J.O. the first Ravens draft pick in the Ring of Honor. There is no way they are not doing the same thing with Ray, our second draft pick and the face of the franchise. He is not going anywhere.

Neither should we. Lets keep this great season going with an upset against the Titans! (:

Eveyrthing in pro sports boils down to a business decision.

It would be a Monster of a BAD business decision to not keep Ray here. No matter the way they structure it. The fans don't care about the dollars and cents of it!! Ray is OUR guy!! If they want the stands filled and no HUGE backlash from those of us that pay the bills, HE MUST STAY!!
Personally I think he is likely gone. We all love him, but to me it is clear he has lost a step. He still has 10/10 leadership skills, 10/10 preparation skills, he's nearly the last guy in on takles now. They gotta sign the young studs Scott & Suggs, who are both playing fantastic, you got gooden and barnes waiting in the wings. I think Ray is the odd man out, he deserves big money, and I don't think the Ravens can afford to pay all three.
I'm sorry but this statement is pretty retarded!! Ray Lewis is 16th IN THE LEAGUE for tackles! He leads the damn team in tackles! Lost a step?, I don't think so. He needs to stay. You don't let a Ray Lewis go to another team. He stays until he retires. No question about it!

Jameel McClain can be the next Bart Scott. Probably better.
