Purple Punishment

Kenny Britt Declares

He'd be a great pick in the 2nd hopefully after a Corner in the 1st. He has had a very productive college career, is big and has reliable hands.

Plus, he could reunite with RICE.

Yeha I just thought about that too. We need Britt and Barden! Accompany him with M. Smith and D. Will(healthy) and we wll see a much different receiving corp on our team

Most of the Rutgers fans who know team really don't know where the "prima donna" or "diva" tag came from. He's not loud or brash or spolied in manner. In fact he's one of most personable down to earth guys on team. I think what might have happened is the writer who first used the term was talking about Britt not always
pushing his talent and coasting. Some fans - and I was one of them - saw imperfectly thrown balls just graze Britt's out stretched fingers and he didn't seem ever make a dive for balls like that. I know WR's are taught to run through passes coming over their heads and not diving - but sometimes diving works and other teams guys semed to do it but not Rutgers. Some would joke Britt didn't want to get dirty. I think writer was thinking of things like that and just used a term that was awkward all around

I always use to say Britt was over-rated because he had a ton of yards (usually caught midfield when box was stacked to stop Rice) but never seemed to show up in red zone. Britt was known to be affable and easy going I didn't think he really had intensity and focus he could have. That changed mid season this year. After losing 5 out of six games coach made some changes and Britt was suspended a game along with freshman All American Anthony Davis (only sophomore Outland tropy candidate on list the past season). I don't know what the reasons were (it wasn't anything dramatic etc) was but it worked and Britt lived up to hype the last half of sesason. I wish he caught ball more with his hands but a prima donna hes not

I dont know what Britts 40 is but he got past a lot of corners downfield. If his QB was a tiny bit more accurate Britt would have had more TD's .

He can bench 400 and do back-flips across the field so hes very physical athletic type player when he wants to be. He leveled lots of guys blocking - here one vs Ball St
