[News] Ravens Have Been Among NFL's Healthiest Teams

22 posts in this topic

Probably 1 of the wisest organizational investments will be to keep seeking out the absolute best health professionals in injury prevention, proper conditioning, physical therapy etc.. Sports and medicine are both evolving rapidly and discovering more effective ways to prevent and heal from injuries. Glad to hear that the Ravens are taking an active role in pursuing the most advanced treatments with a multi-disciplined approach. Injuries are an unpredictable reality of the game so it is critical to control any possible factor they can, whether it be to reduce the number of injuries or enhance the healing process.

I wish we could get credit for news stories. If you check my posts, I pointed out this report on the 25th of May in a comments section and I put a link to the report as is required by the forum if you are quoting another news story. However, since we have to give credit to the source of the stories we use it would be nice if the Mink gave credit to the stories he gets from commenters who find stories and lead the reporters to the stories and the sites..

One of the things to keep in mind, and I will admit I didn't read the article, is that it's not the quantity, it's the quality. If you lose your top two starting corners or starting quarterback is it not worse than losing five practice squad level corners or your third and fourth string quarterback in training camp?

The Ravens had probably had some of the most devastating injuries last year

So if a string of injuries to ONE position decimates the ability to defend that position, and all opponents know that they can attack that one position; none of that's really important?

wow......i guess they didn't put to much stock in the fact we lost our bookend OT during the playoff push.....

I thought we had a league high in players on the injured reserve list at one time. I remember it being some where around 18 or 19. Maybe I'm confusing it with another year.

I'm sorry I must've misread the title over the 19 people we had on injured reserve. Anyway, I'm going to find some wood to knock on.

" For example, if a player suits up after being listed as doubtful or questionable, their performance may be impacted."

If that was the case, the Pats would be, by far the most injury-ridden team - most of their starting squad is always on the questionable list... (as if they were really injured...)

There are so many holes in their method of calculating injuries.I'm tired of all these math nerds trying to invent new stats and calculations every off season lol.

All of Ravens Nation: I plead with you to knock on wood after this article so it is not the jinx of all jinxes :) I still have last season's IR list in my nightmares.

I swear if you jinxed this team.. lol. Knock on wood. That's why ozzie is the best, he adds depth with players that can start for most teams. Were solid. Hope everyone including all 90 players in training camp come out healthy and hungry. Super Bowl 50 in my home state LETS GO!!!

Oh man, you can't have a title like that and not have chaos or anything hit. This was such a jinx, Ryan why?!? Now I am thinking about all the scenarios that could happen with our players and getting injured and it isn't good. One little thing happening to Flacco would be catastrophic!

...Where is some wood around my house?... :)

I want this article to be published in the 17th week of 2015 NFL season, and I'll be such a happy camper if we are devoid of injuries!

This article should go away. Ryan  Mink needs a detox drink.   No Pre curse stories please!  This is a sensative subject.

I tried to avoid this article all together... I still didn't read it but I had to comment... I think we all agree that some things are better left unsaid...
