Glad they didn't bring Belichick in to be the Ravens coach. We probably would have the stink of Spy-gate as part of our history.

Yes...Lots of people thought Bellichek stunk. He still had the same personality back then as well - which doesn't endear him to anyone. How could anyone have known that he would soon learn how to cheat and win?

Why not bring Bellicek, well, time will tell but history is a big indicator. Without Brady, Bellicek is 51-65. With Brady he is 136-39. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1560349-bill-belichick-or-tom-brady-who-deserves-more-credit-for-the-patriots-success I hate Brady, but I will be watching closely when Brady retires and let see what the hoodie does then. I think he will revert to the Browns Bellicek.

Bellicheat was an absolute JOKE in cLEAVEland and anyone who followed the Clowns (like I sadly did) back then knows it. After riding on Parcells' coat-tails a few years he hitched his wagon to Tom Brady and hasn't looked back. The majority of the time all "great" coaches had all-star QBs, and vice versa I suppose. Let's see how he does once the Golden Boy hangs 'em up.

It was probably the 5 losing seasons in Cleveland and being passed over that led Belichick to contemplate cheating to get ahead. Just saying.

I personally don't believe Belichick knew about that.

Was it his idea to deflate that balls? Probably not

Did he know about it? Most likely.

I have been saying since it the news broke that the NFL doesn't believe Belichick had anything to do with the deflated balls. "I don't think the janitor the works for the Patriots goes to the restroom without Brady's knowledge and Belickick's approval. "

Bellechik and Brady are close buddies- you know they tell each other everything down to what they ate for breakfast. Yes he knew about it.

I still don't see how Belicheat isn't punished for Deflate-gate. Even if you buy that he didn't know about it (which I don't), Sean Payton was punished because he "should have known about it" How come there is a different standard for Belicheat, especially with his history of cheating (Spygate)

Kevs take is interesting considering that the official NFL Narrative presented on A Football Life: Cleveland 95, is that Bellichick wanted to part ways with Modell, not the other way around. And he wanted to part ways because he fealt Modell chickened out, left Cleveland, and left Bellichick alone to deal with the nightmare that was the final days in Cleveland.

I guess Kev and Ozzie are the few insiders that know the true story from behind the scenes.

The Patriots went 11-5 with Matt Cassel. The next year, with Brady, they went.....11-5. Brady is far more overrated than Belichick. Brady "won" 3 SBs with game manager stats. He's never been able to make tough throws consistently, but he's almost always put in situations where he can get quick, easy completions and cover up his weaknesses. That's a sign of great coaching. Until last year, when he got to take advantage of a bunch of injury depleted defenses, Brady never did much in the postseason. It was the defense shutting down Warner's Rams and Manning's Colts(with help from cheating) that were the main factors in their SBs.

I tried telling JoeyFlex5 that Tom doesnt have a deep ball and Tom's overrated. Like Tannehill. He went on a long rant why Tom is a beast. If you take away those short throws then he isnt much.

Brady IS a timing route QB always was always will be. He relies on the intermediate to short routes to be there. Hence the good TD to INT. Ratio of 261 to 103

Time will tell...but I'm not sold on Bellicheat's genius, sorry.

That's like saying take away Ray Lewis' tackles made beyond the line of scrimmage, he wasn't much.  LOL!  Players make plays on the field.  Granted, you need good coaches to coach up developmental guys and scheme both for and during games, but the players are the ones who have to execute the X's and O's.  Yes, you've got to hand it to Bellicheat for knowing to throw like crazy vs. us in the playoffs then turn around and run like crazy vs. the Colts, but his players (especially Brady against us), had to make the plays happen.  I dislike Brady as much as the next non-Patriots fans, but you can't honestly diminish or deny his consistent success at winning games from the QB position.  Now you can argue that I can't deny Bellicheat's success either, which I certainly cant...but I'll stick by my notion that it's had to do more with Brady than him, regardless of Cassell's one fluke year.

Didnt say I was dimnishing or denying anything about Brady. I said hes overrated. Hes not the best quarterback the NFL has ever seen. He relies heavily on those short passes that make the recievers get all his yards. Hes a good quarterback, dont get me wrong, he makes great reads and is smart but hes overrated. Your opinion about how Brady is making belicheat look good is your opinion just how I think Tom Brady is overrated. Belicheat is a smart coach.. You cant deny that.

No it isn't. It's not like that at all. Ray Lewis was a complete player that didn't have any weaknesses. He could fill the gaps in the run game, run down backs on the outside, and before he got old, he was great in pass coverage as well. Brady does have a significant weakness, which is why when our secondary wasn't thoroughly depleted, we always dominated him in the postseason. He had 3 TDs and 7 ints against us in the playoffs before last year. When you take away those easy completions, he is completely worthless, which is why he crumbled in the playoffs for the past decade before he beat a bunch of backups last year. With Ray, you couldn't just take away one thing, because he was good at everything.

You don't have to apologize to me. I'm not a fan of the guy. I'm just looking at the facts. In the Patriots' first SB run, Brady threw 1 TD pass throughout the entire postseason. I don't think you can say it was all Brady.

We'll never know what Brady would like like without Bellicheat, but we will be able to see how the Deflatriots and Hoodie do without Brady.  I'm looking forward to it personally, as I fully expect to still have Harbs and Joe Cool leading our Ravens to playoff victories while those Boston blowhards become nothing more than "chowda."  ;)
