Ravens All Time Worst Players

221 posts in this topic

Since the trend in the slow off-season is usually rating the best players, such as the Top 100 and best ravens players of all time, I thought it would be neat to do the opposite, the Ravens All-Time WORST players.

The idea here is to put together a 53 man roster of clunkers, busts, has-beens and never have-beens.

I'm going to start with just a few players, and as we accrue more posts hopefully we can all collaborate to a complete 53-man Stinker roster.

Tony Banks

Frank Walker

Yamon Figurs

Kyle Boller

Sergio Kindle

in kindle defense he had a freak accident, also the worst players are probably the guys who where even worse then those you mentioned.

Yeah, but he never lived up to his hype, because of the accident. I loved the guy, still feel for him. Mention some guys you think!

Worst players and biggest disappointments are two different things , just because a player had a higher upside / ceiling and flopped doesn't make him the worst player. Just to clarify.

I just attached it to that usually they get a bust label because they stunk it up.

The worst players the Ravens have ever had are the UDFAs every year that get cut almost immediately.

If we want to go worst player, probably some guy who barely played at all who was filling in for someone

Biggest disappointment is Boller

Lee Evans basically cost us a Superbowl (would've smoked the Giants that year, imo). That gives him the distinct award of All-Time worst Ravens players.

I can think of worse.

Easily.

Aight, but add legacy to the equation....When I think about all the great defenses that went to waste... Argh!!!!

ill narrow it down to starters and players who saw major game snaps.

players who were practice squaders and cuts, players who ended up injured for their whole career, basically players i feel never even showed us enough for us to decide, dont qualify for me(kindle, dan cody, foxworth etc.)

also ill try to leave disappointment due to expectations out of the equation(elvis grbac and kyle boller were not worse than stoney case and chris redman)

so heres my list:

frank walker

jah reid

tandon doss

travis taylor

terrence cody

and the obvious list of qb's we had over the years

those are the ones that REALLY stand out to me

oneil cousins and jermain winborn get a dishonorable mention from me because we didnt see quite that much from them but in the limited snaps they got, MAN were they bad

You guys need to go further back into the early years.  They were 16-31-1 in those 1st 3 years and the defense was epically bad.

Guys like CBs Donny Brady and Isaac Booth (Langham, too) - they were likely IMO the worse (of guys that actually got to see the field).

Kip Vickers (although playing out of position) was one of the worse RT we've had (and there have been more than a few stinkers).

I'd also agree with the mentions of Harper LeBel and David Pittman.

oh god david pittman was bad. i knew i was forgetting someone from the 07 squad. him and jermain winborne combined for a cb duo that made the best front seven + ed reed in his prime, a total nonfactor.

our decimated secondary was bad and all, but that 07 secondary, jesus god almighty, never seen anything worse.

Kindle is unfair. He never got to play so it's impossible to say he's among the worst. Maybe he's one of our worst draft picks because we basically threw away our top pick... But worst player is a stretch.

Cody might be a better selection.

Just for clarification I think the list should be worst players who actually played a significant role bc obviously the list of worst players are going to be those who were cut or never made it off the PS.

My big 3 from recent years:

Ed Dickson

Gino Gradkowski

Terrance Cody

matt elam is there too

he's cost us at least half a dozen games since 2013.

if he was not on the field at all vs the patriots we would have won..book it..amendola would DEF not have scored that touchdown on 3rd down.

Doss, Cody, Boller, Kindle and Dickson

Doss and Dickson because when they had their opening to step-up and take it they never did always fell short.

Cody just lazy.

Kindle just stupid and not best of judgement falling down stairs we spent a high draft pick on him too.

Boller just thrown into the fire and never really could get it going.
