SSS quickly became one of my favorite Ravens. I wish we could have had him from the begining. SSS is a true Raven...

Always have to remind myself that SSS has only been here a year. SSS fits the Ravens mindset so perfectly that it sometimes seems like he has always been a Raven. As much as we benefit from his contributions on the field, I think SSS's contribution as a mentor is just as important to our future. I hope SSS can influence this young WR group to mentally approach the game with the same passion, energy and intensity. If every player he mentors can emulate even a piece of SSS's attitude, the sky's the limit for this offense.

Said it perfectly. Thinking about all those years wasted in Carolina where they highly underrated SSS talent. I love this guys intensity. And also love his college, University of Utah, baby. Go Ravens.

Been a fan of this guy for a long time!! Watching him play for the Panther's and always wondered why we could not find a guy like him, someone that has that fire. The spit and vinegar with the ability to back it up. Glad we got him, even if it is near the end of his career!!! Just hope we can win a SB and get him that ring!!!!

I remember before Cam Newton was drafted, SSS wanted a trade and one of the suitors was Baltimore. Only wish he came to Baltimore earlier, wish we drafted him that year.

Steve Smith is one of my favorite players ever.. Even before he came to Baltimore. I was so excited when he signed here. He plays with that huge competitive fire a lot of players don't have. Players like Steve Smith, Richard Sherman, and a couple others make the game even more fun to watch not only because of their football skill but also the trash talk and high energy competitiveness. I think it is hilarious watching Sherman and Peterson go back and forth about who is better. It's awesome to hear Steve Smith say there will be "blood and guts everywhere". A lot of people hate it but I think that brings a whole new intensity to certain games when they say things like that. Steve Smith knows it is a game so he makes the best of his time here it seems like with something witty every interview he has.

I'm a lifelong Carolina Panther fan....don't worry, I'm not "trolling"...I'm actually coming to say that Mr. Smith is by far my favorite player EVER...naturally I'm biased. But I've met the guy before, and can't say enough about him and how he represents himself. I've always had issues with people and especially how they react to media presents someone. He's made mistakes sure....who hasn't? But there was a reason that him and the Big Cat (Jerry Richardson) have a father/son relationship. He's the greatest Panther ever (and to be honest, I'm a realist, I know we haven't been around long). But I expect he'll be the greatest Panther ever for a long time. He's a first ballot HOF from a "small" market team, with respect of his peers and team mates (even Ken Lucas who he punched during practice gave him credit for his genuine apology afterwards). He's a work horse and freak of nature. For whatever reason him and GM David Gettleman of the Panthers don't get along, which is fine....not everyone does. He loves the team, he loves the city, he loves the state, and we love him back. Heart breaking to see him on another team....but it'd be even more heartbreaking to see him retire. Especially since he has IMO a lot of gas left in the tank. I love my team, but my love of Steve Smith is genuine as well. He's done nothing but given everything he has for my Panthers and the Panther's fans. As long as it's not at the expense of my Panthers....I can't think of anything I'd want more than Smitty getting a SB ring.
