[News] The Competition: Tight Ends

Exactly...Boyle will have his heat coming on from the two players I mentioned.

Perhaps the IR/PUP list is intended for Dennis. I am a huge Pitta fan and will not state he is done.

Maxx is in because he is a future starting TE  and was a great draft steal.  Harbs and Oz have to escort him through his first year...

I agree PItta will go on PUP and unfortunately I also think if Gilmore and Williams play at a high level that they may try to trade Pitta to a needy team for a cheap price to get rid of his salary cap the next couple seasons. I love Pitta he is one of my favorite Ravens but look at the roster... If you have 4 tight ends on the roster, which you don't really even need 4 in a game, you're losing out on another position of need. I saw Dennis play in college at the University 10 minutes from where I am sitting now and I was excited to see the Ravens pick him up... But with the injury history and depth it is almost to the point of how much longer will the Ravens invest in Pitta. I want him back healthy playing 100% but that is probably asking too much unless he dedicates the rest of his life to football and conditions and trains all day.

Pitta got his ring, and got paid. You can't really feel bad for him. He hasn't played the last 2 seasons and has $16 Million coming his way no matter what. We signed him after his first injury so the Ravens have given him the benefit of the doubt. The injury that he has makes it seem like he will never play again, but the only way he doesn't get that guaranteed money is if he retires. Right now he makes about $2 mill a year to take care of his body and try to get back. I want his job.

Boyle is making the team just for his blocking ability. He can develop into a WR later, but he is considered a 3rd Tackle. Massive with great feet. He will help the run game a lot.

Barring more injuries, looks like we are good on the TE position this season. I like these guys.

It's tough to be a lead blocker from the TE position... our running game is often predicated on the lead blocker so I don't think Juice is in competition for a roster spot with any of these guys.

Huh?....uh we could move one of the monster TE's to the fullback position......and cut our current unproductive fullback....Why would anyone lead block from the TE position?..........omg  Juice is worthless when you stick one of those monsters back there to block or receive out of the backfield......
