[News] Joe Flacco's Goals Heading Into Year 8

41 posts in this topic

@trevorsteadman you do not throw the ball to the end zone with a bunch of time remaining on the clock putting more pressure on your ALREADY banged up secondary! They showed the picture from behind Joe when he released the ball, the safety was like 5yds away from Torrey! SMH

I think this upcoming season we'll see drastic improvements mentally with Joe.

I think so too , he seems to have matured a lot and just has this killer vibe about it him right now. He's seems locked in and focused on his craft - and I think we will see a lot of all around better decision making this season. Add that with the new weapons he's got and you got a deadly combination.

I hope you are not referring to the interception in the end zone on a very catchable ball to Torrey Smith.. The one Torrey Smith gave up on as soon as the ball left Joe's hands... The one where Smith pushed the defensive back instead of going up for the ball..

Don't feed the troll...

Joe deserves another ring. Too many other are "dropping the ball" on him his receivers and Ravens corner backs.

Joe is a winner, pure and simple, and there a very high number of teams who would just love to have him as their QB. He doesn't give a hoot about his individual stats, or how many people do or do not think he is an "elite" QB. I'm quite sure he is even more tired of hearing all that non-sensical talk about that silly word than I am. All he cares about is winning which, by the way, is a TEAM goal. And that's what Joe is, the ultimate team player, and a Great leader as well. No, he's not a Ray Lewis "follow me boys" loud speech giving type leader, although there is certainly nothing wrong with that. But, there are all kinds of leaders, and Joe is the quiet, lead by example type. I wouldn't trade him for anybody. We're Very blessed to have him as our QB. Enough said!

3 Goals besides the Obvious.(Maintain health, team Communication and Chemistry, and Success)

1) Reach 30 passing TDs, but dont stop at 30.

2)more efficiancy in the pass game, try to go 65% and upwards completion percentage, and 4500 yards

3) JUST WIN BABY!!!! (THE SUPERBOWL)

If you wait till your guy is fully open you'll be waiting all game.  A saying I liked about A. Boldin was "when he was covered he was open".  Hopefully some of our current crop of receivers will have the same talent and attitude.

yeah # 1 receivers don't have to be open to come down with catches like that- unfortunately Torrey never became that guy for us. I don't blame joe for that throw whatsoever- the call can be questioned , but I can also see why he went for the throat, anything can happen and you have to take what you can get, in that case a feild goal wasn't good enough so we had to come away with a touchdown - and he tried to catch the defense sleepin. Unfortunately the safety was in position- but like I said a # 1 reciever still comes away with that ball- and I don't think joe could have placed it anywhere better than where he did.

The two biggest thrills I get with Joe is when he beats Brady and Payton. Winning against Ben is like beating your brother, Dalton your twin and Cleavland your sister.
