Harden was No. 4 on my board. Dude is a legitimate MVP caliber player. Insane he fell to No. 7.

There's still some better guys on the board than Wall IMO.

So, I haven't actually contributed in a meaningful way yet, but I think Anthony Davis would have been my number one pick. You have to consider he's only 22 years old and he's eight years younger than LeBron. He doesn't have that versatility of LeBron yet, but he's certainly a very good combo big. He can shoot from pretty much everywhere but the three, he's got great defense that will only get better, he's a great facilitator with the ball, and he's an amazing rebounder.

I do love LeBron and he's my favorite player, but Anthony Davis was better last season and, again, he's eight years younger. If I'm building a franchise, it starts with Anthony Davis.

Are we taking into consideration future years, or just for this upcoming season, since we do a new draft every year. Just wondering for strategic purposes haha

Yeah I didn't think he would fall to me. Pleased to build my team around Harden.

It's a bit subjective, but I'd definitely say that I've seen a sizable amount of members treat their rosters as if they'll be around for a few years.

In theory it's for future seasons, but in reality I don't think anyone cares about their team beyond the next season. So this time next year I won't care about my side from last year, even though that side was more geared to make a title push in five years' time.

I personally look over my past rosters from time to time. It helps figure out what could've been handled differently.

codizzle hasn't been online since the 27th. This may be a long wait.

We'll see.

Yeah that's how I was going to approach this. Definitely for next season, as well as future consideration, because it is technically a franchise

I get that, but personally I can't see myself focusing on much beyond the previous year's roster and the one I'm about to build.

Yeah, that's the thing. And if nothing else, if a player pans out it's nice to know you took them however long ago it was.

I do both. I mean, yeah, it'd be best to have the best roster for the next season so taking someone who may retire in a year or two, but is still really good and can be beneficial for the next year, I'll snag them, but I also like to keep it young.

Even if you are trying to win now, I think you can't go wrong with Davis. I just think he's that good at such a young age

I agree, why I said you can't go wrong with either and I think Davis is already one of the best big men in the game. At the same time LeBron is only 30, you still have a couple years of extremely high level play from him. Like I said it just comes down to preference.

Are players previously drafted in real life but currently playing outside of NBA eligible for this game? There are couple guys around rumoured to sign with NBA teams this off season.

Yes, if they are NBA eligible they are allowed.

what happened to him?

Cedric Jackson? He came to the Australian league, started carving it up with the NZ Breakers, vanished to Slovenia for a year and now he's back in Australia carving it up with the same team.

At least, I think that's what you're asking. :P

What a depressingly slow start to the game. Looks like we're going to have two skips in the top 10.
