2015 Draft a Franchise (NBA): Discussion Thread

A minimum of 13 actually, 12 active and 1 inactive are supposed to be on every roster. Teams are allowed to have 15 signed players so the last 2 rounds are voluntary.

Johnson, Martin and Payton. My targets are getting picked off one by one.

He will if he can be healthy.

It's a fair point. Fortunately he'll be given rest when needed given that he'd no longer be a starter.

I was thinking of him when I picked Wroten, figured I'd take younger of two injured guys.

I believe that we've just seen a skip. Can't check since I'm at work but Sons_of_Eli could be on the clock.

Man those Clippers are horrible.... If only they had Aldridge, Love, or Davis instead of Blake. And Demarcus Cousins is also a superior player as well.

Sorry about the delay. I've been busy and didn't notice I was up until a couple minutes ago. I like the upside of Porzingis, I think he has a chance to develop into a very good player for the Knicks if he can get stronger and get enough time on the court.

Good value in Rubio here as well.

I'm still bummed about losing Payton and Johnson, but I got to make another homer pick. I was going to wait for the next time around, but decided not to chance it.

Gotta use a picture of him when he played for the Saints back when I had a season ticket too. :D

I'm happy to have landed David Lee at this point. He was no longer a part of the Warriors starting line up with the arrival of Draymond Green, but Lee was still a solid and efficient player. If he ends up starting in Boston this season, he could very well average 16 and 8. He's also underrated defensively, which brings me to John Henson. I've been a fan of Henson's game throughout his short duration in the NBA and I've been impressed with him. He's a solid rebounder and a very good defender. He can protect the rim as evidenced by the fact that he averaged 2 blocks in just 18 minutes, and he has enough quickness to guard the perimeter at times. The number is obviously inflated by the lack of attempts, but players who shot threes with Henson guarding them saw a whopping -17% deduction to their FG%. Not to mention a dropoff on every area of the floor.

Hey. I just went through The Draft thread to touch up the formatting and add pictures to old selections and I just came across the original Courtney Lee selection. It didn't hit me until I stumbled across it that I selected him on behalf of another member. Hope you get to change your pick before any more new ones come in.

I'll go ahead and make that change in a minute. I didn't think he was available

Figured he wouldn't, but I was hoping that Mudiay would slide. I think he'll be a stud in a couple of years, and is a dark horse for rookie of the year, especially with Lawson's off the court problems

If I had to make odds myself, I'd peg him as No. 2 to Okafor in ROY likelihood

Yeah I have to agree with Big Jah being the favorite going into the season. Love his game

Hasn't been a big man that could make the game look this pretty in a while

Needed an athletic big man and they're all gone, settled on a project.

Scratching my head at who to even take at this point, don't wanna give any of the remaining guys my fictional money lol

The Tyson Chandler in training, I liked him pre-draft. One day he'll be a key role player on a championship side, haha.

Good pick in Cauley-Stein. I've gambled and lost on every rookie's projection thus far as far as if they'll make it back to me lol
