Nice pick in Monroe. He has a crafty offensive game, and I think that compliments your selection of Deandre very nicely. That's a solid front court.

I'll happily settle with Thompson though. Was kind of hoping you'd take one or the other to make it easier.

Interesting to see you go with another power forward even though you have Kevin Love. Are you going to start both, or bring TT off the bench?

Cheers. I had my eyes on him since the Jordan pick and almost paired them with my previous selection.

Plan is to start both. I think Thompson is capable of playing center. Depending on how the draft goes, things could change. Regardless, I have two beast who can play PF. He was also my bpa after losing Monroe

Gotcha. Yeah I like Tristan's game a lot. His rebounding is awesome, especially on the offensive glass. He gives your team an extra 3+ possessions every game by collecting offensive boards. He's still young too, so his overall game should continue to improve.

Hoping Rose can have some sort of a healthy year. At the very very least he's a solid third option to Chef and Bosh. If he returns to All Star level, watch out.

Certainly can't argue with the value.

I just don't see Rose as being consistently healthy ever. I mean, I'd honestly expect only 40-50 games a year with how frequently that man gets injured. It is insane

It's a risk I'm pretty comfortable taking in the fourth round.

Thanks and yeah, his age definitely played a factor for me. In an ideal world on my team he would come off the bench. But with how the league is now today I dont think having a traditional center is as important in years past. Unless you have a chance at say, the top 5 centers, I think there's a big drop off.

Thompson's only continuing to get better and athleticism should help mask some flaws. He's a huge part of Clevelands long term plans, as is Love. Both will co exist fine IMO.

I'm not gonna lie, I conked out last night, came back and saw a ton of long discussions, and I was just like, "I don't really know basketball, so I'm just gonna skip ahead and find shorter posts..."

Anyway, I really have no idea how my team is coming together. I'd like to think I got four top 40, potentially top 30 players, but I honestly couldn't tell you how my team is shaping up or how they'll mesh. My line-up currently is...

PG: Jrue Holiday

SG: Klay Thompson

SF: Gordon Hayward
PF: TBD

C: Marc Gasol

And for the person who picked Millsap, I almost took him. I was so close, but at the last minute, I changed to Hayward because I think Hayward has a higher ceiling and I don't know how much more Millsap will grow. He's really solid, but I don't know that he'll ever get much better, I guess.

I'm sure he would have gone sooner rather later and I suppose getting 40-50 good games isn't bad, especially if it comes in the playoffs, but he was honestly a player I didn't think about because of how often he's injured.

Speaking of injuries, Holiday has played just 74 games the past two years. Other than that, very solid. You have defense, outside shooting and a top post player. I don't know if you necessarily have a clear cut first option, but you could still potentially add one with some younger high potential guys.

I liked your first three picks, but I'm not big on Holiday due to injury. I like his game, but he's been too injury prone. With point guard being deep, you could always draft another one just in case Holiday misses extended time next season. Other than that, I could see Thompson, Hayward, and Gasol jelling nicely. Hayward is versatile with room to grow, Gasol is one of the top centers in the game, and Thompson is lethal from three point land. Klay has also turned into a nice defender, so your defense looks pretty solid. Other than the Holiday pick, I think your team is off to a pretty nice start.

Yeah, I wouldn't even consider him. Not only is he a huge injury liability, he just isn't the same player. He wasn't terrible for the Bulls last season, but essentially replacement level.

I don't know how much of that goes to getting his feet wet and getting back into the swing of things, but yeah, he certainly was not the same player for the Bulls

I really do appreciate the feedback. I'm honestly just picking players that I know are good facilitators and can play defense. To me, if you can move the ball around and spread out the defense, you're bound to get good looks at some level. And having defensive players is always important for... obvious reasons.

Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the time that Holiday missed directly caused by the same injury? He got a stress fracture in 2013-2014 and then re-agrrivated it before coming back to action in the 2014-2015 season? Other than that, I don't think he's ever missed really extensive time. I could be wrong entirely here, but I would guess that if it was the stress fracture just taking longer than expected, I would not expect that to happen again in that leg or cause anymore problems.

Haha. I welcome most of the 1st and 2nd round negs to all of my negged picks!

Seriously, who cares.

And we have a Sixer off the board, and I know it's a typo, but it says "with the 3rd pick." Fitting since we end up picking 3rd every year, haha. Love that at least one of my boys is drafted as a starter in a fantasy draft. Now I can stop checking in for a while.
