Damn you both.

Bledsoe and Oladipo scare the crap out of me as a duo. And Bosh is just good all around...

Well his defense is average but he's still good.

I once picked up Serge Ibaka in NBA Live as a FA since I thought his name was pretty cool.  He ended up being a monster for me and moved up to like a 90 overall.  It's cool to see that he's actually good at basketball.

I was referring to when you said that they are little more than an analyst's tool. They are very much a tool for NBA front offices and coaching staffs, hence the ridiculous money that went into SportVU.

What I was trying to say to the OP was that it wasn't super important to them as a fan or player in this game. They can use them or not.

That's definitely fair.

Doesn't get much cooler than Serge. You do that too? lol I did the same with Kam Chancellor in his rookie season in Madden.

All the time haha.  If I need a guy on my team and everyone has a similar overall, you better believe I'm picking the coolest name.

I wanted Oladipo. Thought he would have been great to pair with Lillard.

I was thinking about Harris with my next pick. He's a bit Carmelo-like in that he takes a lot of shots and his defence isn't what you'd like it to be, but the guy's a talented scorer who can become an undersized 4 if needed, and he should be part of Team USA for the next few years. And at 22 he's still younger than some rookies who got drafted a couple of weeks ago.

On another note, it's nice to see three Magic players go in the top 40 picks. :D

This is the main reason why I took him. I was looking at a couple other players, but their defense wasn't on the same level as Draymond's. I already have a 1st Team All NBA scoring machine in Harden, so I wanted to balance the other end of the floor. I love Green's defense & passion/intensity, and I like his offense as well. He is a capable scorer, can find the open man with a nice pass, and can get offensive boards. I like his screen-and-roll game as well.

Draymond Green was honestly a horrid selection....

I mean you're up(sarcasm at the top my friend)

Gannis has to work on that shot, but he's only 20, so he has time. I like Harris over him, but good pick nonetheless.

Love the Harris pick. He was on my short list for my last pick.

Yeah, very young but improving on both ends. Last season and the new deal with Magic should give him a lot of confidence going forward.

Magic have the second most intriguing young corps in the league IMO. Good things coming for your boys soon.

Yeah I certainly hope so. There wouldn't be many 25-win teams with so many players who go that high, so it's just a matter of bringing it all together from here. Need a better veteran group atm, but with Scott Skiles on for the next three years (when he'll inevitably wear out his welcome) a lot of our players' arrows are pointing up.

Exactly, and as I said in the post above he should improve A LOT in the next two-three years. There was a lot of debate among Magic fans about his future going forward (think Ravens Talk whenever the topic of Dean Pees comes up, or Juan Castillo a couple of years ago), but that extension is the FO saying pretty clearly what they think of him.

Pretty thrilled to land Mike Conley here. With Harden as my main ball handler, I wanted a defensive point guard who can shoot a spot up three on the catch. Conley fits that bill. I believe he is one of the best defensive point guards in the league. 1-on-1 defense is strong, and knows how to play defense (can trap opposing point guards by allowing them to get to a spot where he knows a teammate will be there). He knows how to run an offense well. Conley and Harden is a pretty strong backcourt in my opinion.

Damn it. Conley was my number my main target at this point. Good pick.

Thanks. I was going to take him in the second round, but decided to wait on point guard. Happy that he was still available in the third.

Codizzle is sad now

If I were in his position I'd probably be looking at a whole load of really young, high-upside guys. Build for the future - assuming he gets back any time soon.

Like the Gay pick. He was my top SF available. Was considering him over Conley. Also, a local kid from Maryland who went to Spalding. Gotta like that.
