Which defensive position do you play at the snap?

I usually start the play as a DE, unless I'm blitzing. I tend to rely on my defensive play-calling to have the receivers covered.

I'm either Free safety, LE (if he's good) or LOLB. FS for when i'm needing a pick, LE/OLB for when I'm rushing the passer

If I know they are going to pass I accually play as a DT(yes I said DT) cause my line never gets sacks so I use a DT for short coverage to block WR routes. Other then that I play as a Safety

I'll play LE except with the Ravens. I control RE (Pryce) but I'll switch when the ball is thrown or if the run is away from that side.

LE is the way to go because LTs are always the far superior to RTs in Madden. I will sometimes use the ROLB or RILB and send the RE on a speed rush so then the linebacker can hit the B gap and attack the QBs blindside.

I like running a Cover 2 zone in Nickel coverage when they're obviously passing. All the linemen run a stunt, so both ends end up pushing around the Guards instead of the Tackles.

I hate running stunts. They take too long to develop. If I call a play with stunts I'll always audible the line into an inside rush.

In franchise switch to a 4-3 and put Suggs at LE and Pryce at RE, they will get more sacks. Left tackles have trouble with bullrushers and right tackles arent great pass-blockers. Also you should try moving Jarrett Johnson to DT, he gets great pressure inside.

In my franchise, I picked up Wilfork in free agency. I run the 46 a lot and my line is Ngata, Gregg, Wilfork, Pryce. I don't even need to blitz often. I didn't get any sacks the first game, but I hurried the QB into 8 INTs that game, including 3 to Reed (two were returned for 6)

You're clearly playing on too easy a difficulty.

I have it set on the custom level where it's supposed to adapt.

I always use one of the defensive lineman. Depending on down and distance. First and second downs, I usually control the interior lineman, 3rd downs usually one of the defensive ends.

Same here. I can never rely on the computer to get interceptions for me, so I always have to do it myself. Plus, I like occupying offensive linemen so my blitzers can get free, then I switch to those blitzers and blow up the QB with the hit stick.
