[News] Lardarius Webb 'Looks Good,' Ready For Healthy Year

21 posts in this topic

Really pulling for Webby, one of my favourite players but if he can't stay healthy this year I fear for his spot on the roster next season. I get the same feeling watching him play that I did with Pitta after his surgery, very uneasy waiting for an injury. Hope he erases those conerns this year!

Injuries are a part of the game, it's how you handle them that proves what kind of player you are. I think Webb will have an outstanding year along with the rest of the secondary. This may be a very special year for the Ravens and their fans.

Turnovers (especially interceptions) is something this team hasn't truly benefited from since Reed. Being top 5 is a bit aggressive but important goals should be.

If Webb and Smith return to prior form this could be a great secondary on a great defense. Adding Arrington and Lewis was an excellent move by the front office. These 2 guys (Webb and Smith) can make or break the chances for the Ravens to return to the super bowl.

Webb and Smith needs to stay healthy the whole season. Our season depends on them. If they fall our secondary falls.

The fact that Webb wanted us ranked in the top 5 turnovers is important.  The secondary was not a significant contributor to that stat in 014.  I look forward to this unit producing as a primary part of our D rather than its achilles heel

Im ready to see our defense return to the fearsome unit that dominated for years and a secondary that ball hawks is a big part of that! Lets Go Webby and Smith

Webb has become the leader of our secondary. However, I would love to see Webb get back to being consistently healthy so he can be the lock down corner he has the potential to be!

Webb is a stand up guy and I wish him the best. However, it is doubtful that he will ever again have a healthy year. Healthy game or two would be a plus. To put so much of the season on the health of two injury prone cornerbacks is insane. We needed defensive help, not more wide receivers.

Having Webb and Jimmy full strength on the field will be a powerful thing indeed! Let's hope the team has a healthy year. This year's roster is going to be exciting! GO RAVENS!

We as fans tend to look at these guys with loving eyes. When in reality Webb is getting older not younger and his potential Pro Bowl days maybe gone. Two ACL's, groin and back problems preclude me to believe that his value is coaching these young corners and believe me if any of them can show any kind of sustainability then Webb's time on the field will be limited and that's why he may need to take punts. I love Webb and want him to do good but I'm also a realist and believe that his good days have passed him by. So prove me wrong Webby I'm now and will always be a fan.

as much money he is getting paid and the little he been on the field he better be ready. I seriously can't seem on this team next year. He'll have to take another pay cut cause somebody in camp will step up and play better.

The only two questions I want answered is (1) will he still give up the big "cushion" on 3rd Downs, and (2) will he stick his tackles better?

Webb can be a very good corner when he is healthy. So that being said, don't get hurt doing punt or kick off returns! Also, play at 110% effort and cover your target. Play like your 2nd year (before you got hurt) and get back to being a ball hawk. Make us proud and help our secondary be it's best! I'm counting on ya', so don't let me down . . .
