[News] Late For Work 6/22: Ray Lewis Almost Fought With 'The Rock' At WrestleMania

27 posts in this topic

Speaking of wrestling, did anyone see the video of Seth Rollins throwing the first pitch at the O's game and schmoozing with Adam Jones last week. Then, like a day later, going to Cleveland and totally dissing the Browns. Holding up his belt, "This is what a championship looks like Cleveland. Johnny idiot face over there ain't never gonna get you one." Something close to that. AWESOME! The bad karma continues for that sorry excuse for a city! Go Ozzie!

He even said "LeBron James can't bring you a champiohship"! Sure enough 2 days later, the Warriors win the NBA title.  LOL.  Gotta suck being a Cleveland (any sport) fan.

I love WWE. That's my show and I watch it every week. Monday Night Raw is coming on 8:00 tonight and I can't wait. LOL How Seth Rolins in going to handle "The Beast" Brock Lesnar. LOL Having Ray Lewis there at Wrestlemania would've been cool. Did you know that Ray Lewis, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Warren Sapp were teammates at the University of Miami? Wow. The Rock could've been a football player instead his injury of some kind cost his career and then became a wrestler instead then the actor. I love when he played Hobbs in the Fast and the Furious franchise that's my favorite movies along with Paul Walker (rest in peace), Vin Diesel, Tyrese, Ludacris, and Michelle Rodriguez. Furious 7 was awesome. :)

"the legendary Ravens linebacker was basically a wrestler in football pads."

... with the notable difference that Ray was never a fake.

I love to hear of the new guys coming into a standard that demands a lot from them. They will learn how to win and how to get the most out of their potential here. There are not a ton of places we can say that about... Glad that Baltimore is one!

"Oh what could have been" says it all to me. I question if Ray would sign a contract with any wrestling production unless he had complete control of the plot and outcome. Who does Vince root for anyway? Other than himself that is. The Pats?

That's why he passed on it.

Can we please focus the articles on CURRENT players? I know Ray Lewis did a lot of great things for this franchise, but we don't need a DAILY Ray Lewis update...an article every now and then when Ray does something great for the community or team is fine, but not pointless tidbits about him about stuff such as fake wrestling!

The Seth Rollins clip on youtube bashing Cleveland and "Johnny Idiot Face Football" is classic. The only thing he left out was reminding the fans that the Browns are 5 years away from being 5 years away.

Ray Lewis is the Cal Ripken Jr of our Ravens. Dismissing any article on him is high treason.

This may look like a video game once we get rolling. Don't even get me started on the defense.

Fake? Not even. Ray was a State Champion wrestler too...... "if" he would have done the production, it would not have been fake.

I'm watching the conclusion of Raw right now. I was sure Cavs would find a way to lose to the Warriors. And they did. Oh well. No championship of any kind for you Cleveland until Art Modell is elected into the Hall of Fame as he should've been years ago. I wonder if Seth Rollins is a Ravens fan...

@IGwheaties_man maybe Seth Rollins was at the O's game he must been a Oriole fan so he might be a Ravens fan. Seth Rollins got luck up tonight or Brock Lesnar would've destroy him. Seth Rollins always need help everytime and I don't think she meant what he said to Kane & J & J Security. He was only said he was sorry so he could have backup facing Brock Lesnar. Smh

So glad that Ray didn't get involved with that wrestling thing. There has Never been anything fake about Ray and I, for one, would not like to see him involved in something that is not genuine in any way, shape, or form. I have never understood how anyone could enjoy something that is so blatantly phony. Actually, I have a daughter-in-law who is a huge fan of wrestling and it pains me to see her doing her best to try to turn my grand-daughter, who just turned 4 years old, into a fan along with her. Nevertheless, I say nothing and make sure I don't show any negativity about it for the sake of peace in the family. I choose to keep my feelings about it to myself. I wouldn't even say anything anywhere but here because I absolutely know that my daughter-in-law would never come onto this sight. Ray, in my mind, is just too genuine, honest, and has so much integrity, that I would really hate to see him have anything to do with wrestling. Just my opinion, that's all. And, about SSS; it's great to read about him having his priorities in order. I'm an extremely devout family man myself, so I find it awesome to hear just how much value he puts on being such a great family man himself. My props go to you, SSS. I'm very happy for you And your family. My best wishes go out to your entire family, along with you, and may God bless you all greatly.

Wrestling is no more "fake" than any TV show or movie.  It's not meant to be "real."
