This is why I feel the Ravens didn't need a WR in the draft! No diss to Perriman but the Ravens are STACKED at that position! They just have to be UTILIZED better! Marlon Brown is a BEAST! YUP

I Look for the Ravens to try and keep 8 recievers....keeping 2 as special teams and return guys and stashing at least 1 on the practice squad. The Talent is to good, we shouldnt use the Safties and corners when we have the receiver bench. Plus a 3 rd RB and a 3rd TE

I think that the Ravens took Perrimen (WR) for the long haul. There is no reason to throw him to the wolves. He needs to develop and be here when Steve S moves on. If Steve were not here, the Staff would need everyone out there. Ozzie knows the business and players its what makes him very special. I still think that Brashad helps far more than he hurts this squad.

He was drafted because he plays fast and the Ravens are looking at him as a well rounded potential #1 WR not just because he ran a great 40. If that's the case then Yamon Figurs should have been the best ouside WR in the NFL.

He was meant to be a torrey replacement. If he ran a 4.5 we wouldn't of drafted him.

8= S.Smith, Perriman, Aiken , Brown, Butler, Waller, Campanaro, rookie on the PS.

PS doesn't count on roster.

PS doesn't count on roster.

True, but if they put the player on the PS he is employed by the team. All others are done and can go elsewhere I believe.

Damn I hope any of these guys we can't shoehorn into the 53man roster can be stashed on IR or something. Any of them left on PS are going to get poached by other teams.

JB, Aiken and Marlon are all making waves this season! Go aim to become great guys! It's all in the head and your work ethic. Everything else is a learnable skill!

Says who. When did Ozzie or Eric come out and say he was drafted just to replace Torrey? That's the story the media fed you. If Perriman was just here to replace Torrey Smith then Ozzie is nowhere near the draft Wiz I know him to be. Because if they just wanted to replace Torrey's speed, they could have addressed that in the 3rd or 4th round with any WR who ran a 4.4 or better like Sammy Coates. I doesn't and won't take much to replace Torrey or his numbers. I'm a huge fan of Torrey's on and off the field, but 50 catch, 900 yards and 8TDs isn't much to replace. You don't have to attack that position in the first round to replace him. There is nothing similar in the on field play of Torrey Smith and Breshad Perriman.

Perriman was meant to be an upgrade from Torrey.

I think some fans under estimated Torrey Smith's value. Yes, the market was too high for the Ravens, but don't forget what life was like without Torrey. Without Torrey, Boldin, Mason, wouldn't have one on one coverage to beat. Without Torrey, Rice, Forsett would see 8 man boxes all game. Without Pitta, Daniels don't have big holes in the middle of the field. Torrey was a solid deep threat. A Value role on any offense. Perriman has YET to prove he can even be that good. I hope/think he is cause if he is at least a Torrey smith option, look out. But he must prove that consistently. Otherwise he is Jacoby Jones. A fast guy who can't catch and will be asked to return kicks.

I just hope these WR that look good in Practice can preform the same on game day when it counts. There is always that chance you can have a great practice player that dosen't translate to the field on game day.

He's really gonna make it hard for Carter and/or Camp to make the active roster.  You can't teach height and if he can take advantage of the defenders that match up against him during training camp and contribute on ST, I can't see him not making the active roster.

For once, we finally have a good problem at WR, too much talent.  Bad thing is, we're going to have to cut someone who will likely contribute on another team.  Best of luck guys, may the best WR win.  #StayHealthy

Maybe we will get lucky and be able to trade one of our WR's for a late round pick like we did with Rolando McClain

My prediction for reciever is #1 Smith, #2 Perriman, #3 will be a hard one but I believe Aiken for the fact he is slightly faster than Butler but Butler will be the #4 leaving Brown to be the #5. I personally believe they will only carry 5 and stash Camp on the IR.

If Flacco likes him, that's all you need to know.

usually opportunistic but... Flacco liked and wanted Doss also (but don't think butler is a Doss)

Too many talented receivers on this team to only carry 5. They will at least carry 6. You need to include a receiver that also return punts/kicks.

Smith might not even start this season, we have to much young talent in Butler, Aiken and Perriman.

Torrey had 11 TDs last season, not 8.  That is the only stat I really care about at WR.  I don't care if he didn't get a bunch of yards, the purpose of the offense is to score points, not rack up yardage.  Torrey did that last year.  I like Perriman, I just hope that he is a playmaker and can score a lot of TDs.

You're joking right?  SSS had a very impressive OTA and mini-camp as well.

He also only had around 750 yards last season... Point is he was an okay #2 but not even close to a #1 receiver. I think that Torrey Smith's touchdown stat was just luck of being in the right place at the right time last season because of Kubiak's play calling... 50 receptions for how much playing time he saw wasn't too great to be completely honest and he only really had that many yards and touchdowns this season because Steve Smith Sr. was doubled covered pretty much every game after that first Bengals game.

Just a thought...it was interesting in his presser today, when SSS was asked what he thought of the WR talent so far competing for spots and jobs he specifically listed Perriman, Aiken, M. Brown, Carter, Campanaro, Worthy, and Butler, add in SSS and that makes 8! lol   I know he doesn't make the decisions, but he sure ought to know something about talent at WR, just sayin', lol.  I just thought his perspective was interesting.

About to listen to that presser now..do you think we would keep two short shifty WR's on the roster in SSS, Campanaro & Carter?

In the past Oz and the FO have stressed that they want tall big bodied WR's. I would love to see them implement a passing attack like NE has in regards to striking underneath with quick slot WR play

Late round draft pick Waller not mentioned, intentional or over-sight?  I read that he struggled the last day of camp.

I'd like to see them keep Butler. I'd personally like to see Steve Smith, Perriman, Aiken, Brown, Butler and Campanaro all make the squad this year. I think this is the best receiving core we've had in a long time, and I'm pretty happy we let Torrey go and replaced him with Perriman

It's too soon to make the call about Butler or Perriman. Both rise to the next level with my confidence in both of them. This is going to be preseason football competition at it's best. We must rely on both to catch the ball. After they take a good defensive hit and then bounce right back for a catch, I'll be a believer.

I like Butler. If he didn't get hurt last year Aiken would have been cut. We have so much talent at WR, someone good is going to get cut or put on IR. The only person that will be safe on the PS would be Carter, anyone else will be claimed by some other team.

A great problem to have.
