[News] Ravens Staying West After Two Road Games

35 posts in this topic

I think it's a good idea, but an unsettling thought just occurred to me. How will being used to west coast time affect the players when they return to the east coast after the two-week stay over there?

The adjustment going from West to East isn't nearly as bad as going East to West. The 3 hour jump ahead can usually be adjusted to in 1-2 days. The 3 hours "going back in time" impacts the body a lot more. The clock says 8pm, but your body thinks its 11pm, so you end up forcing yourself to stay awake much later than your body is used to.

I don't know if this is redundant, but those long road stretches have got to be putting us at some disadvantage. I don't know if other teams are facing these super-road-trips, but maybe we'll enjoy them, maybe not, though. I know it's traditionally tough to win on the road and tougher across the Country. We'll see, but I'm sure it won't be to our advantage, to put it mildly.

GO RAVENS!!!!!

I like the plan and hope it helps the team focus and bond as teammates. I worry about knucklehead activity that might happen because the players are away from home for so long. Hoping they focus on football 24/7 and stay away from the cars, bars and ladies! This will be the time that true leaders in the locker room need to step forward. Keep it classy guys!
