Here's my picks for the opening season roster at WR:

Steve Smith, Breshad Perriman, Aiken, Brown (givens)

DeAndre Carter- Can do the exact same and more as Camp w/ less injuries

Darren Waller- Red zone monster, and is less raw than you'd think.

Jeremy Butler and possibly Cam Worthy on practice squad, stash Camp on IR, release others.

I agree with your top 4. But I put Waller and Carter at 5 and 6. If we carry 7, who ever is healthy between Camp and Butler gets that last spot.

This is a scary Baltimore Ravens team. I can see the confidence in the way the players speaks , especially the veterans. Marshal Yanda , what can I say, WOW, what a great player. Denver will be the first to find out how dangerous this team is.. I cant wait for us to go into mile high and crush the living hell out of those horses.

nice to see PERRIMAN rebound,he's from FLORIDA,and not used to the humidity,BROWN had a drop too,it's hard to focus in this opressive humidity, you can't blame them just for a couple of drops.looks like SHAUB is still making mistakes,it's a shame cuz they brought him in cuz he knows the offense.

Being from Florida, I would think he would be use to the humidity.

lol i take it you've never been to florida, it has some of the thickest humidity i've ever been in, so if anything he should be use to it. his drops are probably just coming from nerves of knowing the expectations everyone has for him and not to mention now having the starting defense out there.

Our receiving corps this year is going to be amazing! No big names right now, but come next year, some of them will be household names not just in Raven Nation, but the entire NFL nation!

Considering when Camp was healthy he was arguably the best receiver after Steve and Torrey, I think it's a little early to claim that Carter brings more to the table.

Right now I feel like Smith and Perriman are the only two receivers guaranteed a spot on the team. And we probably have to wait until the 3rd preseason game before we see who is really standing out in the crowd. Sure, the fans and the media have latched on to Carter and Aiken, but when you read these articles it doesn't seem like one is playing better than the other. To have 8 guys that could legitimately make the roster is a good problem to have and it should make the preseason very exciting. Edited by runcontrol

We have 4 receivers that are proven to be NFL ready; Smith, Brown and Aiken and Campanaro.

We have 3 more that look to have great potential: Perriman, Waller and Butler.

This looks like the most talented group Joe has had since he's been here. He's going to make a few of these guys famous. Joe has a way of getting the most out of his receivers. Having Gilmore and Williams as well as Forsett and the best offensive line in football....well Trestman has a top 5 offense pretty much gift wrapped.

I will be very interested to see how this offense gets stopped. With a great defense they will get good field position and more opportunities than most.

On paper this looks like the Raven's year. Now let's just do it.

I hoping Campy can stay healthy after this, I can see his potential as wonderful slot guy. Marlon was thrown in the fire two yrs ago and experience alone I can't wait to see he does this yr but I am also wondering Butler and Waller I really like Waller his height and speed I know he is a project but I hope the ravens give him a chance at 6"6 and the way Trestman uses big wr Waller can be a beast.

Steve Smith Kamar Aiken and Breshad will get the most snaps this year. Kamar will be a starter with Breshad next year if Steve Smith retires. They will be our version of Julio Jones and Roddy White for big Joe.

Well what we've learned is Schuab made Elam look good yesterday... Schuab everyday seems to have a pick six in practice... I guess if something were to happen to Flacco I guess it's nice knowing the back up on the team will help us become 1st... 1st pick in the draft that is...

Perriman will learn crucial drops because of lack of concentration will bring a harsh scolding from Harbs, but I like how this young group of wr's is looking. If Carter makes it, it is because of special teams. I think Waller and Butler round out the six or seven kept, that is barring injuries which are unaccountable.

Sorry, but Aiken and Brown are guaranteed locks barring any injury!!

You need to read more articles. Everything I've read stated Aiken has been the 2nd best reciever in camp behind SSS.   Aiken has been straight balling so far.

Shaub needs to be cut. Let's trade a sixth and seventh rounder for Mike Glennon, he's basically a young taller less developed version of Flacco, he's fit the team well and actually could actually win games if Joe ever gets injuried. Plus he'd actually let us see how the backups are doing in practice.

I am really starting to like this year's competition at WR. I think we have a lot of talent at the position and can see 1s, 2s, and 3s a crossed the board.

It's hard for me to choose Carter over Camp, but he has been so fragile I would have to agree. I think I would still take Camp over Butler.

We won't just won't have a clear cut depth chart, there's no Alpha WR in camp right now and everyone seems to be about equal. Me guess is we work a rotation like this:

Aiken

Smith/perriman

Brown

Butler

Carter/Camp

Waller

Guys at the top of the list are simply in the game more, and rotated out less however everyone will probably see the field in a game. Whoever gets hit on one game is the #1 WR of that game, if they continuously show taking they'll be the de facto #1 of the depth chart.

I can't see us keeping 8 WRs on the active roster.

im a little confused because they said the recievers had a huge day but i also read somewhere else that many of them had several drops and wore down. i guess thats kind of telling though- if theres several drops and your still having a huge day that must mean were pretty darn good. i was also happy to read that elam had a pick 6- and then i read it was schaub that threw the ball...what do ya know?

oh yeah that picture is pretty sweet.

if i was to guess right now id say it might look something like this.

1) perriman

2)smith/ aiken  (rotating to keep smith fresh)

3) brown

4)waller

5) carter or butler

camp on I.R unless he proves he can stay healthy, in which he would take the # 5 spot.

i know they said they would be limiting SSS's snaps, but i also think they may want him and aiken on the feild at the same time. in that case bump aiken to the # 3 and everybody else moves down a notch.

man this was tougher than i thought. to be honest i dont know what the hecks gonna happen lol.

LOL... If Steve Smith is not "Alpha", then there is no such thing! I suppose that you mean that there's no clear cut dominating #1 type receiver on this roster yet?
