[News] Wide Receiver Breshad Perriman Responds To Questions About Drops

62 posts in this topic

The topic popped up again during Tuesday’s minicamp practice when Perriman allowed four passes to slip through his hands. A pair of the drops came during individual drills, and the others were tough opportunities during 11-on-11 drills

So in actuality, he dropped 2 passes when going up against the defense.  Yeah, nothing to see here.

Scouting report on Jerry Rice, Bad hands and too slow. Just goes to show you how much you can rely on those reports. Ozzie drafted him first round and he has and NFL pedigree with his dad. I dont like predicting things, but safe to say ...He going to be just fine.

I will wait for the season to begin...  but the guy DOES have the potential to catch the tough ones.....  and has proven that on NUMEROUS occasions.

It is beyond ridiculous that he was actually asked about dropped passes and made to offer an explanation as to why he dropped them.

Why on earth he was made to answer is now made clear; so that a thoroughly ridiculous article about nothing could be written.

Stay tuned for: "Maxx Williams and Nick Boyle tell us how they allowed themselves to be stripped of the ball".

Perriman will show up in game one against Denver. He won't drop anything when it counts. He'll explode and prove to all the doubters why the FO selected him as number one.

I realize it's June, but still, is it really a story when a guy drops a few passes in mini camp? If he had been struggling with his hands throughout OTAs, that would be different, but he has apparently showed great hands so far. Anyone could have one practice where they drop a few.

What's with the media hounding of Perriman and dropped passes. Let the kid play ball. Then we will know. Let's support this young budding "superstar". Everyone drops passes even the likes of Ray Berry....every once in a while one slips through.

Ravens fans, I sure hope he does not pull a Lee Evans in the playoffs!!! Have him watch that film.

You took the words straight from my mouth. I was thinkong the same thing. It wasnt even a bad practice or several drops. Two was in tough situations and the other two, yes were uncalled for because it was individual drills. He still reportedly made some great plays after that. Not worried in the slightest. Seems like breshad, joe and justin Forsett get the same dumb questions and treatment. Nobody believes in eithet of them but they constantly will prove them wrong. Edited by edreed2o

We've just gotten started ... are we going to have to address this on every dropped ball? If so, then we need to hound every receiver in the league that drops a pass.

Yes, that would be every single receiver in the entire league.

Dear God .. enough already

Asking questions like this will make the kid lose confidence. Its June. He won't catch everything. Remember week 1 against the Bengals, Steve Smith Sr dropped about 3 balls. He catches the ball just fine.

It's mini camp and all this noise over a few drop passes from Perriman. If Perriman was a Patriot or Bronco all the reports would put a positive spin on this, but since he's a Raven the reports have to be negative. Breshad will be a legitimate offensive weapon and all the negativity means nothing because these reports don't want to admit that the Ravens are coming. Our offense was a threat last season and I strongly believe that Breshad Perriman will make us even better.

Perriman is going to be just fine. This is the time for him to make mistakes and then he has plenty of time to correct and learn from his mistakes.

Better for him to be messing up on the practice field in June than messing up in an actual game.

This is a perfect opportunity to say   "We're human. We supposed to make mistakes".

Thats a classic good parent observation. I think the same as you. Personally,I'm rooting for Waller to make it

Perriman gotta get a game pass because Joe's practice pass doesn't have the same velocity as a Joe Flacco game pass! Think he will get it in preseason and be str8t! LETS DO THIS!

Perriman's catching can be improved and this when/where you do it. OTOH it also stands to reason that if he was criticized for hand issues before the draft and he's dropping in practice to the point that the Ravens are publicly discussing it - the claims were not unfounded or out of proportion. the guy is going to need time to stumble when it comes to playing real starters in September. I hope fans are as forgiving then as they are now.
