Browns Interview Raven Exec For Gm Post

4 posts in this topic

The Browns will interview Ravens director of pro personnel George Kokinis. Didn't they learn last time that hiring a Raven for their GM post doesn't turn out too well?

Here's the story:

Well, to be fair Savage was an egomaniac who was to arrogant to be truthfull about having to much on his plate. If I am not mistaken, Savage was GM there but he was also president of football operations or something like that. In other words he was his own boss as GM.

Even though Ozzie Newsome is still the most crucial football mind we have to keep in the organization, George Kokinis is still extremely important; he pulled the trigger on a lot of the draft-day decisions with Newsome (as Kevin Byrne pointed out in his blog, at some point), and I'd rather not change a thing with the personnel staff if at all possible.

Whoops, I didn't see this thread. I posted the same thing in Ravens Talk because I thought that Kokinis/Ryan/DeCosta possibly leaving was Ravens related.
