Mike Smith Ap Coach Of Year

Smith and Sparano got the votes, Harbaugh got the win.

Not to downplay what the others have achieved, it's simply how I deal with our guys being overlooked.

Let them have the awards. Harbaugh and Flacco have their sites set on an award that is actually EARNED ON THE FIELD.

It's so ridiculous though, I mean I understand it's small fry when compare to the big prize, but it's a little crazy that neither Joe or John got ONE measly vote between them. Keith Rivers got a vote for god sake! and he's been out for most of the year. Ed Reed better win DPoy!

In all fairness in 2006 we went 13-3. We knew our missing element was a QB with the way McNair and Boller turned the ball over last year, and McNair IMO was playing injured when he should have been benched. Our entire team was still solid minus the QB position IMO.

He wont. But I really dont think we should care. We are the Baltimore Ravens. We are the most hated team in the AFC now that the Raiders suck. The media hates and we dont make for a feel good story. Since our QB didnt go to jail and our coach didnt quit on us mid-season. Our QB only retired and our coach only got fired because he was the 1 on a 1-15 record.

At the end of the day that's all that matters.

I believe Sparano got snubbed being that I'm a Dolphins fan, but oh well.

Yeah, between Sparano and Smith, I think Sparano should have won it. Actually, I think he should have won it even if you put Harbaugh in the mix. All three coaches did great things [Harbaugh did great dealing with established players that had to accept him], but Sparano totally reversed his team's record.

Frankly, I put Smith third in that ranking.

Hello! The Ravens were 5-11 last season. They are the ONLY team that lost to the Dolphins. If thats not an amazing turn around, I dont know what is.

The Ravens QB retired. They also lost their head coach. Just because the Falcons lost their QB and HC, in dramatic fashion doesnt make it any more devestating then what the Ravens went through. A 5-11 record- four of those wins came within the first 6 games and the final one came in the last game of the season. Thats a NINE game losing streak. NINE. Do you have any idea how horrible it is to sit through something like that? The only teams that could relate last year are the Miami Dolphins and St. Louis Rams. One of which had their misery ended by the Ravens themselves.

Miami's turnaround was remarkable. Best in NFL history. But I dont think Harbaugh deserved to not get one vote and I dont think Mike Smith deserved it over Sparno. But, thats just my opinion.

Don't forgetthe lions , are you serious our season was over before it was started. Petrino was not a good coach the player not like him, and the media during training camp. Not to mention the fact that we got rid of most ofour roster. I would not have been mad if Sporano got it at all
