[News] Aging Terrell Suggs Feels 'Weird' Now

31 posts in this topic

I hate hearing Sizzle talk like this, but nobody can beat father time. Just hope he has a good couple years left.

I think part of his tone is that all of his buddies are gone... He's lonely.  He needs to hook up more with Doom and SSS.

Sizzle will be ready, He's a pro and knows what works for his body. Being fit in the pre season is nice, but being fit in the playoffs is much nicer.

What ever time you have left you play the game, life itself. Loving every second 'till you leave the stage. When Terrell Suggs retires he will still be a young man proud that he was talented enough to play professional football at the highest level. I wish to thank everyone who participated in my "neg me" post. I am overwhelmed that I have a following of thirty. Yea, facsimile to Joe Walsh but I never played keyboard for the Eagles nor composed "Hotel California". Thanks for the negs Stampede Hero.

I'm sorry but I really expected Sizzle to show up in great shape. He owes the Ravens that much. He is a leader of our defense and the younger players look up to him. His excuse of taking it easy on his aging body is not acceptable. I am a big Sizzle fan and I was disappointed that he showed up like he showed up a few years ago out of shape. As you can recall he didn't perform like Sizzle can in that year. I may get negative reactions from fans, but it needs to be said.

Really T-Sizzle nah. I believe he still got some left in the tank he's only 32 years old that's not that old to me. I believe he will have 11-13 sacks this season.

The one constant you can't escape in life is that all things change. We often take for granted the good times and dwell too long on the bad times. Life is short, please remember to cherish the good times because you never know how many you will get. Life in the NFL is even shorter and Suggs has beaten the odds to have such a long and successful career. He needs to start taking each day at a time like Smith appears to be doing.

Plenty of time to get in shape. It doesn't take a year. He has over two months to do it. Suggs, and a few other players are having that 2011 feeling. They lost a game they could of won and have unfinished business. They want another ring and this is a ravens team that can win it. T-Sizzle and Doom will be destroying QB's all year again.

Ok Sizz, it's true, you're one of them that have beaten the odds, and had a long and very productive and meaningful career! Just because most of the original guys are gone now, it's not time to get nostalgic. Put away the bon bons and get out there and kick some butt ! Their are plenty of young guns coming up that are going to need a strong leadership example ! Embrace the grind, show them how a future HOF'er gets it done. Take the reins big guy!

Suggs looks a little overweight when I saw his training camp photo. Hope he loses some weight before the seasons starts.

It doesn't matter who has a locker next to him. He clearly is one of the locker room leaders. The fact is he has survived 13 years and that is typically retirement range. I don't think he'll beat Rays carreer number but he can get close to it.

I am counting on Sizzle to provide strong leadership by being a model on and off the field.  Let's get ready for the season as best as possible.  Aging bodies can be amazing and Sizzle has the personality to make quite an impact.  Come on football season!

Somebody get this guy a bulldog puppy, and name it Haloti.... QUICK!

hey there you go. He probably already has the ngata fathead beside his bed. They won't even get to play alongside each other in the pro bowl either, not that Suggs will be participating anyway.

I'm more just shocked than anything. The last two seasons Suggs came in looking lean and cut. This caught me off-guard. Not sure I've ever seen him this big and bloated.

Heck even after his ACL injury he came back and blasted.
