[News] Things To Watch At Mandatory Minicamp

I wish the best of luck to Aldrick Robinson and Campanaro to get back to full health so they can compete for a spot on the 53 man roster! They've put in too much time and effort to have an injury jeopardize a good NFL career. Good luck guys!

Hey Terrell, remember to show up donning the the gladiator mask. Need to show these rookies the proper Ravens mindset.

aside from the health of the whole team my 2 biggest concerns are the pass rushing depth behind our 2 over 30 something olb's because if either or both lose a step this season and no one else steps up to help than we are in trouble. would not surprise me if the front office brings in a veteran that gets cut before the season for depth if the younger guys struggle in camp or preseason and schaub needs to improve before the season begins or we our screwed if flacco gets injured

The last paragraph is by far the most important. "Keep Everyone Healthy"!!!

My thoughts as well. I love our roster but I dread the news headlines which indicate a player is done for the season. Especially before the season even starts. If we stay healthy I think this team can play with anyone this year.

Strange to think that both were over 30 last year and still lead the league in sacks as a duo.

Suggs is still the most underrated player in the league. Ravens players never get their credit. Have you guys seen the top 100!? Always makes me laugh because some of these teams would actualy rather have Conner Barwin, jerry Huges, Khalil Mack, Tamba Hali, Peppers, Senderrick Marks, Jeremy Macklin?, etc. Thats why we are in the playoffs every yr because we know how to evaluate talent, we don't overpay for one dimentional players. We love our guys and Not just because Im a Ravens fan either but I would honestly take our ilb duo, our cb combo, Our olbs, our qb, our oline any day of the week. Thats why the sorry stay sorry for so long because they don't see what someone like Suggs for instance actually does for his team, top 5 in stopping the run and getting after the qb.

Well, if Urban & Lewis Moore can stay healthy(a big IF) and with the maturation of Jernigan and the addition of Za Darius Smith, the pass rush should be better covered even with Elvis & Terrell getting a little long in the tooth, if you will.

Funnily I hate talking about the chances of injuries during offseason training... one of my superstitions. I still want to see how our first round pick, Perriman plays with the full squad in town.

I hope J.smith takes his time. His injury is not as tough as an ACL tear but does tend to have more setbacks if not given enough time. I don't mind if he's limited in practice and minutes until the regular season

Suggs is the man! Doom gets all those sacks because Suggs demands all those double teams. And regularly beats them. He is arguably the most important player on our D along with a healthy J.smith. Sacks come and go but take a look at the guys who have lined up on the other side of our D. All have overachieved thanks to Suggs.

Thing to watch for me is DLine. Who steps up as another run stuffer now that Ngata is gone? Jernigan is like a baby Sapp. Seems to more penetration than eat up blockers. Walker is a big guy but Cody showed me weight doesn't make you a run stuffer. Usually Ravens keep 7. A tough choice given the talent. Also, every season Ravens seem to have a guy that steps up either preseason or during the season out of no where.

This team works good together. The Raven way is do your job on the field if and when everyone does their job this team thrives.

Mack is overrated just like some of these other guys I mentioned. To be ranked that much higher then a vet who might just be the best all around olb in the league in Suggs. Mack had 4.5 sacks to Suggs 12, Mack had 16 tfl to sizzles 17 and hes the leader of o6r defense for yrs. He makes big plays in the playoffs etc. So yeah you can go ahead a go and like who you want gecause we here Ravens fans know our guys worth.

Why is it a big if? I think it's a little early to say Lewis Moore is injury prone. And unless Urban had health problems in college I think his injury was more bad luck than anything else. Yeah, they might not be 100%, that doesn't mean they can't stay healthy.

Injuries are the only thing that can slow this team down. And it will take a lot of them (like last year) to have a big effect because of the quality depth on this year's team.

I really hope Harbaugh some how figures out a way to take it easy and avoid preseason injuries. We were clearly doing something wrong last year, as 18 on IR is more than just bad luck.

If this happens again this year Harbaugh better figure out what he is doing wrong.

To runcontrol....have you taken a gander at the two Gentleman's record of injuries in college? It's a matter of record, esp with Lewis-Moore. He's was injured playing for the Irish & has unsuccessfully tried to stay injury free for two years now. Urban was also injured his last year( and earlier) in college and didn't even make it out of the first day of practice in '14 with a similar injury. Anything they can get out of these two fellas will be a bonus!
