Plenty of time left, maybe best to get the response from all/most teams, recruit replacement(s), then figure out the time for draft.

Ok. League is open for business 2016. Sent out an email to everyone announcing so. I was thinking may 29 for the draft date but already second guessing that. We'll probably need more time considering I think some owners will need to be replaced but hopefully not. We should also allow some time for draft trades...

To be perfectly frank it wouldn't surprise me if we lost more than a couple of owners - some of the inactivity last season was a little depressing.

In my other league we tend to scratch together a date late in the preseason for the draft and that works fairly well. Means we have a lot of time to get everyone's ducks in a row and people can try to find hidden gems by watching the games instead of picking players with funny names and hoping one of them amounts to something. But I get back on home soil in late May so I'm down for whatever date and time we roll with.

You can only keep 20, you go into settings and it should be the 3rd option down on the left where it says keepers. Then you just check the guys you want to keep

Yeah took me a while as well(I think it is 8 cuts in total), pretty good time to evaluate your team as well and come up with a plan for what you want to do. I think @Inqui and @Ozzsome are the only others outside myself who have keepers set right now.

Do we draft in a waiver order or set it randomly again? If the former, you and I can't really plan too much in advance.

We are drafting I believe in the final standings meaning we wrap out the first round. Gonna be picking primarily among the rookies and whoever else is out there.

Be sure that your keepers are checked as just cutting the guys you don't want doesn't mean the guys you have are your keepers.

Also I think @ludy51 gets the first pick

I think he asked a while ago to be replaced. Should be good incentive for eventual replacement.

No but I imagine that's because I actually cut the rest of the roster, only 20 guys listed.

I don't think that means those guys are keepers though as I think you have to manually select them. It says you can keep any number of players so I don't think it knows you want to keep those guys. Probably doesn't hurt to be safe either way
