Article after Article , I am becoming really impressed with the characther of the Men we have on our team. I honestly never knew much about him, now that I do, I am happy he is a Raven.

I'm really hoping this kid pans out. I love the fact that he's putting his faith in the Lord and His word, and his realization that he has/had the unique opportunity to learn from some of the best and has taken advantage of that. Good luck to you, young man, and play like a Raven.

What is it about the Univ. of Buffalo lately that they keep producing these pass rushers? Steven Means, Za'Darius Smith and that unfortunate soul Bud Dupree. Something is in the water in Buffalo.

You could say the same thing about the wide receivers UCF produces. Seems like a lot have had careers in the NFL.

Don't forget Khalil Mack.

Smith and Dupree played at Kentucky...but the point is still valid.

I was going to say that, but then I thought maybe they transferred from Buffalo.

We'll see what kind of rusher he is in the preseason, right now we really don't know yet. We just have so many guys impressing right now its hard to say who exactly will emerge and make the team.

If he's been mentioned by Harbs, and the GM Ozzie Newsome. Well I can't wait to see the kid in action. The only person who should be worried is Upshaw, this is his contract year.

It's really special how something bad can turn out to be a blessing in disguise in the NFL... how Rashaad Melvin, for example might have seen his chances last season - being on the PS of the lowly Buccanners (sorry, Bucs fans, but come on...) - and then ending up starting in the divisonal in the playoffs... or how this Means guy might see his journey in the NFL bloom with one of the alltime elite sqauds - the Ravens D - after being a member of the Bucs - probably wondering if he ever sees a playoff game other than on TV... I wonder if these two guys talk about that sometimes when they meet in the locker room...

Cary Williams, Kamar Aiken - we have a history of making it possible for PS guys to start their actual, playing careers in the NFL. If it's Means Time next, be it. Pass rusher is another position you can't have enough depth of.

You got to love the mind set of putting this team for 2015 together. Let's hope injuries are nill, and Joe shows how great he is now. Love this team

He is another "diamond iin the rough"   Its no wonder Teddy Bruski considers our roster top shelf.  He's a University of Buffalo player.  Thats rare

Steven means did good at his pro day in 2013!

40 time: 4.68

Vertical: 38.5 inches

Broad jump: 10'8

3 cone drill: 7.26

Pretty good for a guy that's 6'4 257lbs

@bioLarzen We are the most developmental team in the NFL. Nobody can develop NFL players like we can. We can make undrafted or PS players into stars that's why everybody wants to take our players in free agency. Rashaan Melvin is going to be a great corner in this league.

Those numbers are identical to Ziggy Ansah's measurables

6'5

40: 4.63

Vert: 34.5

Broad: 9'10

3 cone: 7.11

Tampa misused him and I see why Ozzie is hyping Means up.

We don't need Means as a pass rusher as much as we need him to play opposite Upshaw and set the edge against the run. Dumervil and Suggs are basically pass rushing specialists but not terribly effective against the run.

Ziggy who? Jus joking. It's funny how good athletes get lost in other teams systems. It's also funny how Ravens develop mid round players that play really great in our system and then when other teams pay them big $ they don't do as good for their system.
