Myrtle Beach

20 posts in this topic

Headin' down to Myrtle Beach in a coupla' weeks.

Does any one here know much about the place?
I am a foodie so all restaurant recommendations are welcome.

I also would be interested in any must see or must do's you might have to offer.

Didn't know they had food. :-)

Lots of golf.

Are you secretly Steve Bisciotti or something? :P

I just went a couple months ago.

Highly recommend the noisy oyster and Soho which was sushi. It was open late walking distance to the main beach area.

Do not go to the sea captains house. Very very bland aweful food.

Noisy oyster has Ravens stuff too. Another plus.

Went a few years ago and my friend raved / really wanted to go to Crabby Mikes - one of the many seafood buffets down there. Was pretty good, inside was all tacky decoration which you expect from a beach place. The buffet is 'market price', cost us ~$20, if I'm remembering. Crab legs and crawfish as far as you can see.

Tons of mini-golf, the beaches are nice. We went during 'off-season' in March so it was not that crowded, I assume there will be a lot more people now.

Weird thing all the bars close really early.

But the strip clubs stay open very late. Lol. So I'm told.

Soho is awesome. I enjoyed their sushi very much when I went there.

My wife and I are heading down in August and I can't wait. I hear the ocean is really warm this time of year. Some friends told us to check out the Broadway at the Beach area. I heard the gentlemen's clubs are awesome down there, so I know they have to beat what I have seen during my years on the midnight shift in Sector 1 of the Central District.......lol.

Ah, this thread...

I never went.   :(

My wifes grandmother died so we went up to Massachusetts instead.  ( same week, how convenient )

Although I appreciate it, there is no need for condolences.  My wifes grandmother was 99, and was healthy for 98.5 of her 99 years.  Its all good.
