[News] Kyle Juszczyk Eyeing More Receptions In 2015

59 posts in this topic

Always liked Juice. I recall how upset he was about fumbling the ball in the past, saying he didn't fumble in college. Juice has a couple of untimely fumbles under his belt so I hope he has fixed securing the ball at the NFL level. If Juice doesn't fumble and doesn't get his snaps cut dramatically as a result, he could be another unexpected weapon that the defense may underestimate. Juice can block for sure in the run game.

I don't think Kyle J. has sure hands. He fumbled 3 times during the Regular season and once during the playoffs. The fumble in the Miami game near the goal line was very costly. I like Kyle but fumbling the ball 4 times out of 25 catches ( 16 %) is too high.

It'd be nice to see Juice get more chances to show what he can do this upcoming season.

The fact that he only had 19 catches last year just wasn't right. He should have been targeted more than that. Maybe this year he'll be used a bit more as a receiver.

Juice is a good player for the Ravens. He catches well, clears lanes for the RBs well, but however, he has to learn to protect the ball way better if he has to be successful in the league, let alone with the Ravens. I hope he understands it, has been made aware of it by coaches and has worked on it tirelessly in the off season. Then and only then, will he become the player he wishes to be for the Ravens. Not difficult, but he needs to work really hard not to ever fumble again.

Did Harbaugh bench him after all those fumbles?

He was only targeted once after the Miami Game During the Regular Season. Harbaugh doesn't like fumbles.

I'll bet if we knock the pressure down on the ball a bit it would be easier to hold onto . No wait that's already been done .

that has nothing to do with his hands, it's just lack of ball security. i guarantee you he's never been hit as hard on every play as he has until coming to the NFL and not to mention the effort that is given by defenders on every play unlike in college where guys give up way early on some plays.

The fumbling issue aside......I would rather have a TE(one of our stellar TE's especially since all you want to keep pitta)) play fullback when needed or an OLineman that sits on the bench to block for our RB's.....Kyle you are outta here!!.....Need the roster spot for TE's and WR's.....

No Doubt about it, put Boyle back there.

If you look on Kyle's stats, he fumbled 2 times, not sure about post season. If I recall correctly, he fumbled those ball's when he was trying to jump over someone, and the ball was knocked loose. Harb's did reprimand him for it. Kyle can catch the ball fine, he just needs to protect it better and not take such risky chances!

I was wondering about JUICE... With all these weapons now he kind of got lost in the shuffle. "Dont forget about me" he can be a big threat in the short and mid range passing game, up there with Buck Allen, Forsett or any of our smaller shiftier WRs like a Campanaro. Dont forget JUICE

Pretty sure camp is the very bottom of our receiver list and if ozzie is smart kyle is toast.......Bigger, younger, less fumbles is what we need........

Still to early to make prediction, all the players look fast with no pads on, and no contact, once the pads come on, and going full speed we will weed out a lot of players....

I gave you #8.  Had to. He did play TE at Harvard.

I think juice plays a position where fumbling is not an option. Fumbling at this level is at best hard to correct and is in the DNA of players. The fumbles I saw on sunday's doesn't work at this level.

and he is not the type  of player that the juice is worth the squeeze.

I agree totally. You can't fumble the ball out of that position..

i done forgot about dre... oops, i mean Juice. he should have a BIG increase in production. he creates matchup problems with outside linebackers/defensive ends in the flats and can get us that quick big play when the defense is caught blitzing.

one fumble in college so I wouldnt be as concerned as you are... dude can stretch the seam, turn passes to the flat into big plays and seal a gap as a blocker. He was a tight end in college... and ball security isn't that hard of a concept to teach! He is a pro bowl full back and is only going to get better... last year was the first season seeing action as a receiver.

19 people had 3 fumbles last year, Leon Washington similar numbers. 15 had 4 so it's not like you should cut someone if they fumble a few times in the course of a season... especially someone who was essentially playing their rookie season last year because we had Vonta Leach mentoring Juice.

They didn't put him in the dog house for that, I'm sure they are working on his ball security a lot this offseason.

He is one fumble away from eyeing a decrease in his receptions. Three fumbles in twenty five touches is ridiculous.
