[News] Newcomer Kendrick Lewis Already Making Strong Impression

48 posts in this topic

As long as he communicates well and the safeties don't give up the big play this secondary will be outstanding. I really like moving Will to strong safety that guy likes to hit. The corners won't be playing 10 yards off this year with a healthy Jimmy and Lardarius and Kyle playing the slot guy. The secondary will play off that dominant front 7. Top 5 defense this year.

This is looking like a veteran secondary with a lot of talent and a lot of depth. Hill and Lewis will be great safeties. Webb, Melvin, Vaughn and Jackson will compete for the other corner opposite Smith. Arrington will be a good slot corner. If Tray Walker fits in then great. Brooks is going to have to fight for PT when he gets off the PUP list. With a dominant front 7 like we have the secondary should be even that much better. Having a really good offense should help the defense stay fresh.

This could be quite a year for the Ravens. A nice blowout of Denver in week one would be a great way to start!!!

This secondary looks real good on paper and so far in shorts. If the secondary stayed healthy last year, we would have crushed the Patsies and possibly another SB. This unit is much better than last year and that only means more wins and a trip to SB L.

From weak to Strength. How does OZ just get these players to be there when we need them:-) I must say B-More has an advantage over most other teams with FA's!! Players want to win!

2013: Defensive exodus - FIXED

2014: O-line and run game woes - FIXED

2015: Secondary concerns - FIXED (calling it already)

Ozzie is one of the greatest GMs ever and I think this is the most balanced team in the NFL this year. All I want to see is Steve Smith riding off into the sunset like Ray did.

You mean with a Super Bowl ring, of course.

I am glad he's focusing on communication, that seemed to be one of our issues in the secondary last season.

At times, in certain games it seemed like a foreign word.

Steve deserves a ring.  He was never going to get it in Raleigh

Good to hear! I can't wait till we can feel at ease like the days when Ed Reed was in Center field. I think we're getting there....

I am excited for our back field this year. Will Hill, Kendrick Lewis, Jimmy Smith, Webby and Arrington behind Mosley, Daryl Smith, Brandon Williams, Jernigan, Suggs and Dumervil! Wow what a defensive team we are going to be this year! If they play in unison it is going to be really hard for teams to score on us period.

This guy will fall in line with other who have had solid NFL careers but came to Baltimore and took their games to the next level. I can't remember the last time we had a ball hawking defense that forced turnovers seemingly each game. If i'm not mistaking Ngata and CJ lead the team in INTs last year and that's sad lol. I think this guy could change that and help give our defense that fear factor back again.

Your so right. So many of our guys deserve a ring SSS, Dumerville, Tucker, Forsett, D.Smith, Schaub just to name a few veterans I know there is more guys who deserve it heck you can even add Ozzie and Harbs and their staff for constantly being constant by putting together winning squads year after year.

Everyone looks fast during OTA's, once they get the pads on when its 90 degrees the truth will be told for a lot of these players...What i love about Lewis already is he is putting time in the weight room, film room, and going through the playbook like a mad man, he understands how important communication is on the field, and he is taking it on himself to get guys in the right position....This is something both RL52, and Reed did, they put the work in behind the scenes in....

I agree even though Tucker already won a ring!

Excellent signing!! This guy isn't a big name player but is a good ball player. A real good under the radar signing that will excel in our system. I expect him an will hill to dominate towards the end of the season. Ozzie has done it again.

I knew the minute Ozzie went after him that he was going to contribute. It sounds like that's the case. I can't wait to see how this defense grows together.

Any newly acquired football player that can use the word acclimate is OK with me.  We picked up a really smart FA along with Arrington.
