[News] Will Hill 'Light-Years' Ahead Of Last Year

51 posts in this topic

What a wonderful story, am so happy to see that Hill is maturing and turning into a better man on and off the field. I love stories where players who are so young are able to get a handle on life and its priorities sooner than later. I hope he stays with the Ravens for several years, well done young man.

Love this guy. Straight baller too. We got Mosley after Lewis and now Hill after Reed. He's gonna end up as our 2nd best safety if he's extended.

Hopefully Terrence can develop into Hill's buddy on the field as well, would love to see him take the free safety spot next year.

I believe in Will Hill No Doubt about it. I believe in you brother.... I just don't trust the light years quote after it was tagged on Elam and Arthur Brown last year.. they were light years ahead but yet weren't up to speed... Real Deal Will let's go. I believe

well…Will Hill has produced whenever he has played..be it with the giants or with us. He's a very good FS and an ELITE SS

If Hill is making a serious commitment he has the ability to go to the Pro Bowl. If Smith and Hill stay healthy, now that we have added Vaughn, Arrington and Lewis this could be a very good secondary. Having Brooks, Jackson, Webb, Melvin and Elam as backups would give us some pretty good depth as well.

With a dominant front seven (actually 12-13!) in front of them the overall defense could be one of the better defenses the Ravens have had. If they stay healthy this team could go a long way.

This is another great example of how great of a coach JH is. What does he preach? The team...the team...the team. Reading this makes me proud of Hill and our coaching staff. I hope Hill has a healthy and productive season.

I'll always remember the below headline. By the end of next season when he's being passed the Lombardi I want to see us write another headline. "The media are idiots, because ofcourse they are."

Yeah, it's stuff like that , that'll just tick you off.

You'll never hear them say something like that about the Cowboys... and look at their issues.

ProFootballTalk is the worst site for football there is, from the "writers" down to the trolls for all 32 teams. I wouldn't worry about a single thing that comes from their direction.

Yes, Mr. Hill, daughters do change almost everything there is in a young father. Sons, not so much. Looking forward seeing what you can do this year!

I'll admit to being one that was still touting Elam - but my thoughts were that Elam understandably struggled trying to play over the top at safety and I wanted to see him play his SS position. I was also of the mind that Hill was going to turn out to be a steal, but I was expecting he was going to replace Stewart (who I wasn't terribly impressed with) in that position when he arrived.

With Lewis in town and Hill looking like the real deal, I feel like we're looking pretty good. It could really be that Elam won't even get much of a chance to prove himself at this point.

Interestingly, Balfan, you've spun a great story with a happy ending,... perhaps not for Elam, but definitely for the Ravens!  B)

Still, maybe Elam just needs to figure out that it's just football! Needs that "light bulb" to come on!

Good to hear that WHIII is stepping up his game and showing the leadership to take his game to the next level. he has that type of talent and ability ...now if his head is right too! Watchout... we may have the top safety in all of the land, once again!

This was a low risk, high reward signing that is turning into another success story for Ozzie. Hill has the potential to be an amazing Safety. I'm glad to hear that he's making a home with Baltimore and getting more comfortable. All of the sudden, our secondary has gone from lacking depth to being beastly.

When a man hears the words "Dad" from his daughter that's when a man will change for life. I said man.

As a Ravens fan, of course I want him to succeed as a football player. But, you know what? As a man I am even happier, Much happier, to hear about all these things that seem to show that he has finally figured things out about life. I am Very happy for him and his family. Being a good and successful man, father, and husband as so, so much more important than being a good and successful football player. That little girl of his is a million times more important than Any football will ever be. Good luck to you and your family Will Hill, and may God bless you all greatly.

i dont think it was necessarily a low risk signing at all. Will Hill had alottt of question marks surrounding his character coming out of college. not to mention the suspension. nonetheless, im glad ozzie saw the potential outweighed the risk. he could turn into something really special and has already done well for us.
