2015 Draft a Franchise: Voting on Skips

Please vote if you would like to increase the number of skips from 1 to 2 for time allotment changes to be implemented ( 12 hours to 6 hours to 3 hours etc.)

 

As the rule stands now, 1 skip leads to a reduction in time allowed. This rule change is simply more forgiving and aims to reduce extremely short time allowances.

We already have it so that you need to be skipped twice(autoskip doesn't count) in order for the first time limit to be implemented, just to avoid any confusion. As for after that, I am fine with it being 2 skips for each one here although it should stay as 1 for the forum mock since that is only 7 rounds and if you are getting skipped that much in that time, then there is a problem.

It's currently 2 & 2 including my vote but according to the first two comments there should be at least 3 votes to keep the current rule. Who hasn't voted?

 

My vote is to keep the current rule. There is no reason to wait longer than necessary - how many times can one get caught in something unexpected? People willing to take the boards and speed up the game are always around, there really aren't any excuses to be skipped multiple times.

I voted to be more forgiving, but I'd say only if they still make their pick before they're up again. If we haven't heard a peep out of them for going on two rounds, then skip 'em or shorten their time.

12 hours but yes, there's an ample opportunity to get the selection in.

I think it was decided to carry over from the Forum Mock. 24 hours isn't necessary even with time zone differences. I respect your opinion here, but it seems a bit harsh.

Some people have work/school, that's not going to fly.

I voted to add a little leniency and argued for it a week or so ago, but in fairness you can always check your phone periodically or send someone a wishlist of like five guys when your pick gets close. If I'm not mistaken, Truth has some pretty tough circumstances but he's able to check in pretty regularly.
