Only if we couldve had flacco in the dreadful years of kyle boller tony banks scott mitchell with tht defense we had we wouldve been a dynasty flacco has outplayed and been so clutch than any of these so called great quaterbacks

I thought he spoke well the other day. Joe is a great guy! I believe in him. What's not to like? He's big, got a strong arm and he's durable. Not a jerk. Doesn't throw tantrums on sideline or pout. He is a Winner. They really don't give him the respect he deserves and has earned outright. Let them underestimate him. We are going to burn it up this year. I can't wait.......

Put all the best quarterbacks together to make the greatest quarterback ever and Joe will still beat him or make him know he has been in a game where he could very easily have lost except for some mistake that changed the game.

THIS!

" Maybe he isn't as excitable as some fans want, but he's unflappable, difficult to faze.

(Honestly, are we still having this discussion?)"

Joe is a winner, he has a great "roll with the punches" attitude. I just really like the guy.

I still don't understand mass psychology where Flacco's greatness is concerned. How is it that the rest of the football world fails to see how good this guy really is?

For starters, he is the winningest QB since he started (including playoffs), is a SB winner and MVP, won the most road playoff games, equaled Montana for playoff performance, is the most durable QB since 2008 (never missed a game), is the most adaptable QB in the league (4 OCs in 4 yrs), has the most mediocre receiving corps amongst top 10 QBs (since he began with no disrespect intended to our receivers) and best of all never makes excuses for anything period.

These attributes to me scream - "Awesome QB, great QB, the best QB, etc, etc." Why then does this dichotomy exist between who he really is as a QB and how he's been perceived by idiotic media types?

It not only irritates the heck out of me but fascinates me at the same time! I am grateful that at least the Ravens' fans all over the world adore him and wouldn't exchange him for any other QB in the league period. I mean I don't even want Rodgers or Luck over him right now!

I just want to see more aggressiveness an a lot more deep shots, along with an offense that starts fast in the first quarter an not the beginning of the second half. That all...

Stats aside, I really just want the Ravens to make the playoffs as per usual. That being said, I would love for Joe to have a monster stat year as well. It seems that's the only thing the so called experts look at when determining which QB's are elite.

How about 4300 yards, 30 TDs 10 INTs and a 65% completion percentage, along with a 12-4 record - yum!

I believe that the advent of fantasy football has skewed the way fans and analysts view greatness - to be considered elite (or even great) these days, a player has to put up video game numbers. Fact is, Joe has done more, been more successful with less than arguably any current QB.

Joe is special, but Rodgers is the best in the biz. Not only that, he's a cool/fair play dude as well. Now take Brady, as phenomenal of a football player as he is, I would take any other NFL QB over him.

I can't stand his "morals", the way he always whines, the way he (used to) always get away with shady stuff... list goes on but I don't feel like ranting today.

I just hope his suspension stays how it is, that the Patriots have a down year and that Brady's supposed HOF legacy has been thoroughly tainted.

Go Ravens!

I think this fits in perfect to the "Flacco is a superstar" argument. Flacco is a superstar in Baltimore and I don't mean that geographically, I mean it as exactly the person, personality and persona for the blue collar Ravens fans (wherever they may be) and what the Ravens team needs. Where people in NE who have Brady or the people in Denver who have Manning scoff at the mention of Flacco being elite, no QB has had the success in their system than Flacco has had and the playoff record and the amount of times he has been in the playoffs hasn't been matched by those twos or any other since Otto Graham. Clearly Manning and Brady are at the ends of their career but at the rate Flacco is going, he will be in and win more playoff games than any QB in history. All he has done is break record after record for wins in his first however many years, for playoff appearances in how many years and playoff wins in how many games. Laugh at me now, but if winning games, if getting your team to the playoffs, winning playoff games and winning super bowls (Joe's not done yet), gets you into the HOF, then Joe has a great shot if he mirrors the early part of his career.

Joe is awesome... He is going to do what Joe does. With the leadership the Ravens have on both sides of the ball and them guiding all the young guys this is going to be a very fun an exciting year for the Ravens and us fans just cant wait.

I think we fans, and the media, make too much of this stuff sometimes. To Joe, it's just football man

It's all about respect Jack....  Not making too much of it...  We just want our QB and our team respected just like the others are.

I dont ever recall Joe throwing a "tantrum" so to speak with his team-mates. Some of the other more popular QB's I have seen them right in the middle of a game chewing out their team-mates. Then when Joe has something to say everyone seems to listen because it just does not happen every day. I read an article on the NFL web-site earlier this week about an O-lineman saying Peyton Manning is not really easy to approach. I really think anyone could approach Joe and talk about things.

I honestly believe Joe is Underrated. If you look at the change of Recievers, the quality of recievers, the injuries to top targets, the coaching changes, the years with sub par O lines and to still never post a loosing season. He got thrown into the wolves in training camp and started every game of his carrear. I am dead serious when I say, I would not want another QB for the Ravesn other then Joe Flacco. You can give him whatever rating you want, I give him the title of Championchip winning QB of my beloved Ravens, and thats good enough for me.

Yes, I agree.  I think he finally breaks the 4k threshold this season.  Maybe even 30 TD's as well.

We'd have gone to the Super Bowl again last year had it not been for our Secondary and those Funky Receiver Plays......

I agree with this completely, but the media biases are there.  They always seem to think that we win in spite of Flacco, not because he lead us to wins.

Go Ravens! Go Flacco!......In Ozzie We Trust!

Come day, go day for Joe. Why the media and even some of the players in the NFL can not see what we see is beyond comprehension. This man is a prize and I can not wait to see him in action come September. Go Ravens.

The great thing is that the best of Joe is yet to come. He's entering the prime of his career. The next 4-5 years are going to be a lot fun especially with the young talent around him. Can't wait !

I hope Perriman and Williams have the fire to fight for the ball the way Smith Sr does. That's what it takes in today's close coverages. We know Perriman has the ability to stretch the field. Joe puts the ball on the money. This is better than anything Trestman had with the Bears. Watch how the O-line develops because Trestman isn't shy when it comes to throwing deep.

But did we ever shine in Pittsburgh. Don't forget about that. Was that ever a great win to savor for years to come. Beating them at home in the playoffs.

I.M.H.O. Flacco should have 3 Super Bowl appearances as of right now im just saying = 1. the Lee Evans drop. 2. the super Bowl he has a ring for and 3. Last season I really believe we would have rolled the Colts if we could have held onto 1 of the 2 14 point leads Flacco gave us against the Patriots.  Luck might just be more like Manning than people are willing to admit great in the regular season and mediocre at best in the post season.
