and, unfortunately for him, you have to push him down another spot because it's unlikely we'll let Walker go

that is quite possible, but again he's here for depth and if any injuries occur he could make the roster.

I at no point referred to him as a bum, i said plenty of bums have played with great CB talent, i never said he was. Don't rely on numbers, stats lie big time, go actually watch him play and you'll see, guy's ok, nothing more. He'll grab you a pick then turn around and give up a big play. It's good that he picks to play with contenders but the fact that he's played for 3 separate teams over 5 years isn't because he's a priority FA. And take second look at the three teams he's been on, all 3 are known for sub par secondaries...

I'm not saying the guy is bad or a "bum," I'm not saying he can't make the roster or won't be any good, all I'm saying is that acting like he's some sort of god send and is "amazing" is naive

How good do you think a sub-package player off the bench should be? I didn't say he would lead the NFL with interceptions! Last season our defense only had 11 interceptions... Corners only accounted for 3 of those! Webb, Jimmy Smith and Danny Gorrer. Adding a guy that averages almost 2 picks a season over the last 4 years should make you a little excited... Those are important pieces, no matter how small!

I never said god send either, you looked too much into what i said from the beginning... i said it SEEMS he is an amazing sub-package player who made the most of his opportunities. I looked at his stats and thought that was impressive considering he was coming off the bench. the colts traded a fullback for him so I'm sure they got the better end of that deal.

He is an upgrade over Cason, Franks, Ross and any other "bum" we signed last year.. He isn't a "god-send" but he is part of a plan if something goes wrong in Baltimore at corner. Despite that happening, he can still provide snaps for a defense.. which he as done over the past few years.

He hasn't fizzled out of the NFL so I take more stock in him entering his 6th season in the NFL as an undrafted corner with those numbers. I'm sure the least of his worries are making the 53-man roster... he wants to know how many snaps he will get.

it's not bad of a pickup yes we could've waited and got Porter (even though he was injured last year) or somebody else that got cut a better option but Vaughn is a pretty decent corner for depth it a good pickup plus he was with the lions better we make players better here.

what makes you think we can't still do that?
