it makes little difference. Neither one was gonna make the final 53. Maybe practice squad for a yr or two.

I was rooting for DePriest, thought he had a shot, we are pretty thin at ILBer...

The sad part is that Depriest is probably better than Matt Elam, but Elam is a lock to make the roster because we blew a first rounder on him

Bose is a great tackling LB, should be good for special teams. DePriest showed that he obviously rode Mosley's coattails. Like having the hometown guy on the team.

With Za'Darius Smith as a back-up OLB, Bose could replace McClellan on special teams and save the Ravens $1 million in salary cap space.

I hope this all gets settled soon. All this revolving door crap does nothing to bring a team together.

Hard to say considering Depriest is a linebacker not a Safety like Elam. Plus, cut Elam some slack. He had a down year. Well he has a chip on his shoulder and will play with a lot more confidence I suspect. If and only if he doesn't turnout to be what we want this season than you can blow this in my face, but I believe that Matt Elam will play more dominate this season.

At this point these men are challangers to get on any PS in the league. The chances of their acceptance to the 53 squad is slim to none.

Settled soon? This gets settled late August for the official 53-man roster.

At this point there is no doubt that Matt Elam was a 1st Round Bust. It happens. We just won the Super Bowl when we picked him. We obviously thought he would be better than he has played. You can't fix stupid and they wouldn't have signed Kendrick Lewis if they thought he would be the guy. It's not like we're paying Elam big bucks. I'm thinking the undrafted safety Nick Perry will out play Elam.

When was the last time the coaching staff, the front office cut an Alabama player who played on a team that won two national championships? Maybe, it's because he only had two sacks during his college career.

Terrance Cody was the last Alabama player cut and Rolando we traded for draft pick which is Wallen I think? I like that kid. I think he could be special. I'm rooting for him. Looks big and strong and really look forward to Steelers corners trying to cover him.

I seriously doubt it had anything to do with sacks, he's an ILB. It has more to do with the fact that he was never particularly good in the first place, sure he could do a little against the run (as long as the runner was going between the tackles) but he's not an athlete and was beyond terrible in coverage.
