[News] John Harbaugh Shares Lessons For First Job In Commencement Address

13 posts in this topic

I just posted a comment about Harbaugh's commencement speech on LFW. Anyone know how to transfer a comment under 1 article and move it over to another article? Please let me know how. I attended my son's graduation from Stevenson University today. John is an excellent speaker...inspiring, down to earth and funny. I am hoping that my son absorbed John's "Guide to Success" fully. Follow those principals and these graduates should not only be successful, but happy as well.Ā The parents were nodding their heads in approval with every comment. John has a lot of practical wisdom and nailed some valuable qualities neededĀ in this life. Baltimore has a coach to be proud of...great coach...great person of character. Thanks John for adding to a great day.

Harbaugh was the guest speaker at my son's graduation today at Stevenson University. Compelling, inspiring and entertaining speaker. John had a great message about what it takes to succeed in life. Referenced there are many temptations out there to take an unfair advantage and cheat and even get away with it. John kept referring back to character to know never to cheat, that you can't sell out your integrity and expect to get it back. All of his points seemed heartfelt and genuine. John wasn't even giving a back door dig at the Pats cheating. (Not even a good Pats joke. Oh well) Honesty seems to be a value he holds dear in his life and he demands of his team. Along with the many other characteristics in his formula for success in life, I think Harbaugh is 1 of those coaches who truly won't look for the edge which takes his team OVER the edge into the black hole of cheating. I am just really glad Harbaugh was the speaker. Harbaugh is someone my son looks up to so I hope those messages sunk deep in to his brain tissue and heart as I send my son off in to the big bad world. We are truly blessed to have a coach like Harbaugh in Baltimore. Amen.

I can't think of a more fair, honest, straightforward and a no nonsense guy than John Harbough, he can be one of the alltime outstanding coach that ever coach the game of football when his career is up

John Harbaugh's address was terrific. He was humorous, dynamic, and provided the graduates with food for thought about their future--especially on having a work ethic. He told the graduates "never leave work before your boss" which is good advice. I mentioned this to my grandson ( who graduated) and told him that this was something to remember in the future.

Yesterday, Coach Harbaugh gave "thumbs up " to many grads and appeared to be enjoying he moment. What impresses me most about the coach is his " down to earth " demeanor. Great person.

Great coach and seems like a great guy. Never met him but I wish I could. He has his head on straight and understands how to help individuals achieve their goals. Amazing speaker I hope he becomes an commentator for the NFL after his career as a head coach in Baltimore and can talk some sense into the people there who always project the Cowboys and Steelers to win every year when they both finally broke out of that 8-8 rut this last year.
