Ravens sign CB Kyle Arrington

Kyle will be an elite player in the slot, but for the love of God, NEVER line him up on the outside.

Apparently they didn't want to pay him more than They valued him at. They were in talks to resign him(just like how we did with Chris Canty) but we stole him.

Well, that's just silly. We didn't need Canty, dunno if I can say the same thing about Arrington and the Pats. They could really use some more help in their secondary. Malcolm Butler isn't that great.

Great signing, We might be in a pardicament though. Kyle should ONLY play slot, if he does that the outside will be played by Smith and Webb, Webb didn't exactly do good playing outside last season, especially we went against the steelers(regular season and playoffs).

Webb battled injuries last season and had to play #1.  If we can get through the season with these 3 healthy we should be in great shape for the playoffs.

High value Injury probability

You never know how Flacco and Trestman will work together, I guess. A minor concern, but we have to see.

That's great with Asa coming on the field in dime packages or against 4 WR sets. Asa can be the primary PR/KR or backup and let the undrafted guy do the returning. Camp will get some chance to return as well. That's the only position where we haven't 100% penciled in our guy whether it's one guy doing both or using a combo of guys for both.

Jimmy and Webb on the outside, Arrington in the slot, Will Hill and Kendrick Lewis on the back end... Not to mention our front 7. This defense is down right scary.

Yeah, it definitely seems puzzling: Revis, Browner, Dennard and Arrington are all gone. It's even harder to make sense of this, especially when New England lacked quality cornerback play for years until greatly improving the position in 2014.

They're basically running with the likes of Malcolm Butler, Logan Ryan, Bradley Fletcher, Robert McClain and some guy named Chimdi Chekwa, this season. You could very easily call that group "The Legion of Whom"...

Bill's gotta be up to something, or he plans on retiring after this year and wants to leave the roster as depleted as possible.

oz the prophet

i mean seriously, i knew a move like this would happen. i have been so ANNOYED with the fanbase disregarding our excellent draft all because we didnt reach for a corner, how many times must ozzie prove to the majority of ravens fans that he has a crystal ball and can foresee everything that will happen in the offseason

They have the players there to cover the slot. Butler and Ryan on the outside is gutsy.

I've heard that he is very physical and plays the run super well. I'm excited for our defense

Is there a single weakness on this team any more?

Certainly not a glaring one like we had pre-draft. I mean you could nitpick in a few areas but as far as I'm concerned there isn't a single area of weakness.

WR: check

CB: check

TE: check

Back up QB: check

DL depth: check

It really is amazing how we shored up all those areas of weakness that we had just a few months ago

I think Butler replaced Arrington in the super bowl so I guess The Patriots have high hopes for him after that.

Fantastic news. Does a lot to immediately shore up a major weakness from last season. And with the DL in front of him our defence should be able to stop those annoying 4th and 60 conversions.

That would be quite annoying.

That's not bad for a solid piece like that. I wonder if we'll be able to nab someone else as well.

I was expecting the contract to be roughly in that area.  The Patriots cut him at $3 million, so you knew it had to be a bit less than that.
