Double J retiring a Raven

20 posts in this topic

JJ was great for us as that unsung guy holding the edge, that Hines Ward hit was insane as well

This is why I'm hoping we can work out a team friendly deal with Upshaw. His help on the edge usually goes unnoticed and he's versatile.

J.J was such a class act and a great player. Fan of the guy and loved what he brought to the team every game. He will def. be missed and it's great to see him retire a Raven.

In a perfect world he would have never left and gotten a Super Bowl ring with the Ravens.  Wishing JJ the best in retirement.

Double J is an iconic Ravens player in his own right. He is an iron man who played like a Raven through and through! He deserves to be in the Ring of Honor in my opinion.

Big fan of I-95.

Classy RAVEN for sure.

I do find it interesting that he could not be signed today because we are at our 90 player limit.
It does say something that there is no one currently on our roster cut worthy even for one day.

I agree totally. It's pretty sad actually. Julian Wilson is still on the 90 man roster and is out for the year with a broken leg. Not that they should release the kid but, maybe IR him? I don't know what the thinking is.

I'd still like to see Brian Biliick get in the ring, someday. Us die hards remember when we were in the NFL Outhouse with Teddy Marchibroada and his 16-31-1 record, we started turning the corner to becoming an elite team one we hired him.

I agree 100%. Getting billick was so huge for what this franchise became. Hr completely changed the culture.

I agree. Billick dragged this franchise out of the basement and helped us to stand tall. although he struggled to get the right combination of offensive players in here to do something on that side of ball consistently. As far as the ring goes, I suspect it won't ever happen because of his firing.

Was always a fan of him.  He studied the game.   I think Kelly, Ngata, Johnson defined what it meant to be a 'wall' for our D.
