Double J was one of my favorite players! Really glad to have him back here to retire.

Shame he left when he did though. He could have gotten that ring he deserved. Hindsight

So happy he's retiring a Raven...just as it should be. Glad to have you back JJ and best of luck to your in your retirement!

One could make a great case that he belongs in the Ring of Honor.

Prototype Raven....Not pretty, not smooth, not nice....Just mean, and nasty, and brings it every play.....Off the field a stand up citizen....

Very under-rated player who always did his job well. Hustled, was smart, never grabbed the limelight, just put his head down, brought his lunch pail and went to work. You could tell his teammates loved him by the way they acknowledged him on the sidelines. One of my favorite Ravens. Job well-done JJ and thanks for being a Raven!

JJ. was a tough player and I can remember him being one of the ravens best run stopper linebackers. Great player and will most certainly could and should be in the Ring of Honor someday.

Great player, always liked him. I will never forget how JJ knocked Hines Ward so hard on his back that one play when Wards was running from one end to another behind the offensive line. That hit prevented Ben from throwing to Ward as a first option, JJ blew up that play big time in which Ed Reed intercepted the pass. That was a thing of beauty and enjoyable to watch. In fact, JJ knocked Hines Wards on his back at least twice, check out the videos - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iD25-rxH2hE and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_exWYNtHq0

I also enjoyed his sack dance which was funny. Wishing JJ the best in whatever he does in the future.

Thank you JJ. Out of all the sweet moments you gave us, I'll always love the play where you floored Whines Hard (Hines Ward) with that nasty block back in 2011.

Yessir! And if I remember right it caused Ben to make a hurried throw that was intercepted by yours truly, Ed Reed!

jj along with kelly gregg, jermaine lewis and starks are the most under appreciated players the exemplified the ravens mentality.

Another player to be proud of! Does anyone know if anything ever happened with Mase retiring a Raven? I remember him commenting about that. It surprised me because it seemed like most of his career and family was in Tennessee.

Double J was one of several unsung favorites for me. He is up there with Jaime Sharper, Adalius Thomas, Kelly Gregg. Loved the way he played the game. Welcome home and congrats on your retirement as a RAVEN.

Great football player and man!!! I saw a video of him Mic'd up with the chargers, the game was out of reach and almost over. I don't remember the actual quote.....but he told his team that this is how you find your true character, and that it was easy to go out there and kick butt when you're winning. Go out there and kick butt even if you're going to lose! That's a Raven right there! He gave his all, all the time!!!

Why even accommodate JJ.? Yea he played here for a few years but left to make a couple extra bucks right when he could have stayed and showed his dedication to the organization. We made him then he left. Once he left he was never noticed again. He owes us, not the other way around. Rather than be a Raven for life he left for a few extra bucks and competed against us.. I feel nothing for him.

Well aren't you a sour puss. He balled out and left it all on the field for the Ravens and he never complained about doing the ''dirty work'' for Sizzle and co. while hardly getting any recognition. Double Js a Raven through and through!

I'd do the same thing if I was him, gotta make that money while you still can!
