[News] Who Will Be Ravens' Returner?

33 posts in this topic

The way rosters are built, it's hard to keep specialist such as punt returners and kick returners, they have to also contribute elsewhere, and in this case whoever wins the job, has to be good at ST, and be able to play WR, roster spots are so precious these days....But....I'm also starting to see a trend, we are stock piling WR's taller than 6 feet, so are the ooompa looompa days over in Ravens land for WR's??? Will SSS be the last of the under 6 foot WR's????.... :)

I sure hope SSS isn't the last one. We'd be losing a lot of talent if we let Campanaro slip out of our hands. Every team can use a sure handed, quick, chain mover, and that's just what Camp is. I promise you, Miami regrets letting Welker go Big Time.

No to Webb. Questionable health Id rather not risk him on kicks also. My vote would be Camp, OR keeping Carter on the 53 as the 6th or 7th WR. If either went down god forbid the other could take over and we wouldnt lose much in the rest of the game. Compared to Webb anyway if he got injured. Id rather not risk a DB.

The Ravens have yet to win a Super Bowl without a great return specialist. It is one of the toughest spots to fill on the field. The player has to like doing this in order to excel at doing it. This position takes courage and intelligence. I'm looking for UFA's to go after this in preseason. The coaches will be talking at these players for the one who wants to step up. Webb can be used when a fair catch is needed but no run-backs.
