Niether of these guys got much of a chance here. We really don't know what they are capable of. Sometimes it is a numbers game. When the Ravens signed Schaub, Wenning was gone. When the Ravens drafted two tight ends, Supernaw was gone. Wish them both the best.

How many receivers do Ravens need? I thought Ravens were in need of TE? Ravens have 6 guards listed (strange) and inside Linebacker must be Arthur Brown replacement try out.

Releasing Wenning and Supernaw makes sense, we have better players than both in their respective positions plus it helps us keep more players at bigger needs positions. Hope they will find a home with another team who may need them more the Ravens do. Best of luck to them both.

Best wishes to Wenning and Supernaw.  If there's a good thing about getting cut, it's best to cut them early to allow them time to get picked up by another team.

Wow ... that's a lot quicker than I expected on Supernaw. I thought they'd want to get a longer look at Boyle before they cut ties with him.

 

I also thought Wenning would be kept around as a camp body, but I suppose Renner and Lovelocke are viewed as better options for that role.

Its May...there are still 90 people on the roster and nobody who gets cut is really "cut" cut.

Every team has a few fringe role players on a yo-yo string. If anything happens to the TEs or Pitta doesnt come back, we'll likely see Supernaw again.

And Wenning isnt exactly irreplaceable.

They figured that out pretty fast. Not much time to see the new guys work so what they DID see, must have been pretty good. Cool!

Supernaw will get another job. The boy has talent, just not as much as the guys we have now I guess.

Wenning is no real surprise although I bet he's ticked that an undrafted rookie beat him out in just a couple days.

Yeah  Its possible we could see him again but with another AFC team.  I think Boyle takes his spot.
