The thing is , Orr was terrible at ST as well, Brown got in Harboughs doghouse and never got out.

Not this again.  I wonder where this concepts of Harb's doghouse came from.

To this day, when has Harbs publically said anything negative about a player for us fans to make an assumption

that he's in the doghouse?

There are a few teams that can pull it off and acutally run it but i don't think anyone uses it as a base set or even uses it enough to even have a large impact on the game. Most teams use it as jumbo packages and in run heavy short yardage situations.

However i think we will see this offense look a lot like the Pats a few year back when they had that killer duo of Gronk and AH, ok that wasn't funny. But my point is we have a ton of talent at the TE position and a guy like Juice, we'll be able to run some sets that really force teams to say in that base defense while we s attack their LBs ans Safeties. I could see that 2TE set really being a staple of the offense and if all 4TEs still healty and can contribute, it's gonna be fun watching this group work.

With 4 solid to very good TEs, a swiss army knife at HB, and WRs who can work every level of the field Flacco and Trestman will have a ball with this offense. Defenses will be losing sleep over game planning for this offense if everything comes together.

Imagine the possibilities from the five yard line in;

Having Crockett and Boyle in line with Maxx as an h-back(lined up there regularly at Minnesota ),....Forsett in the backfield and Waller out wide.....pretty daunting task for any defense.

the doghouse exists, it's just much harder to get into than people like to believe. Guys like Cody, Gaither, Pierce, and the immature version of Ellerbe are doghouse guys. Brown isn't seeing the field because of Daryl Smith and poor special teams play and that's really all there is to it.

Man just reading through the last couple of pages, why isn't Sami a scout somewhere? He just seems to know and pick everyone that pans out.

Sami just criticizes everybody that is new! He knows statistically he will end up a winner because the majority of new names will be gone anyway! ;)

If we go out to Denver and hand them a thorough beating, that would do incredible things for us as a team that is really young!

that would set the tone for the entire season. and if we can make it through the first half of the season with atleast 5-6 wins it should be smoothe sailing through week 16. well ...nothings easy... but you know what i mean.

Don't forget 2012 regular season McKinnie.  Meanwhile John kept an over matched Oher at LT, KO at RT, and of course the rotating joke fest at LG that featured Ramon Harewood and the great Jah Reid.  3 positions were upgraded once John let McKinnie out the doghouse.

We gotta remember Maxx is like 20 years old. Yes he's officially a pro but he's now competing and running with grown men who have jobs to win. It may just take Maxx a bit of time to develop. Now I'm not saying he is struggling or that he won't do well this year, it may just be a case where Maxx mat have to get a bit stronger or it might just be a case where reporters are more surprised at what a guy like Boyle is doing becauae he's looking just as good as Max but you kind of expect it from Maxx as a 2nd round guy, but if you looked at Boyle's as a small school blocking TE, but now you see some Dennis Pitta traits in him, that's worth reporting about.

these are all very good points.

Yup, he's isn't ever going to see the field if he can't contribute on ST.

Paul Kruger couldn't or didn't want to be on ST. They finally let him on the field.

Ozzie Newsome and the scouting staff on the Ravens is top notch. They continually bring in so much talent this team wins inspite of Harbaughs coaching and decision making.

Well they tried to move Kruger to DE for a while and that was a disaster.

Good job of Crocket Gilmore gaining 15lbs of muscle in less then a year! Bad for Arthur Brown it took him 3 years to gain about 7lbs..... Jus saying

I see what you're saying but I don't agree with the undertone that the doghouse was detrimental to the team. We won the Super Bowl. Harbs was/is doing something right.

Brown added weight to his frame last year but he said he didn't want to add too much because he was afraid  of  losing too much  speed.  I don't know why he decided to add more muscle to his frame this year but it may have been by the coaches request or maybe he just wants to get stronger. Hopefully he didn't lose a lot of speed in the process

Actually billick suggested harbaugh to Ozzie as a possible head coach. I can't believe this "doghouse" nonsense is still coming up. Nonsense.

I was hoping Brandon Williams would make top 100.....

needs to be more disruptive. There are quite a few guys on his level..hes a great run stuffer but needs to show more in getting to the QB

Glad to hear that Kamar Aiken is shining in OTAs. Hoping that he can be a playmaker this season. I'd like to hear how Marlon Brown is doing though, ideally I think the best starting WRs we could have are SSR at #1, Marlon at #2 and Breshad at #3 with Kamar, Camp, Waller backing them up.

Read an article that Brent Urban has been looking really good in practice, but yesterday he got too close to Flacco during a non-contact drill and Harbs sent him to his room! LOL!

Doghouse alert!!!. lol But seriously, that's kind of a good and bad thing I guess. It's not good that the coach has to tell you to keep the franchise QB clean and you're celebrating it. But on the other hand, it's great that this guy is healthy and showing that explosiveness. Now by my understanding there were no Yanda, Wanger or Zuttah at practice and also there were no pads, but it's still encouraging.

If Urban, KLM and Davis all play to potential this year, to go alone with Timmy and BW that would be a sick front line, Of course you'll have a couple more guys to add depth and fill out the rotation. Everyone will be watching the WRs this camp, but I'll make sure to keep a watchful eye on the young guys on the DL.

Osemele is the only starting O-lineman that has participated in the OTAs so far.

A lot of things can happen once the season starts, but I am really excited about this rookie class. Love the fact that it was offense heavy this year, and legitimately like the combination of talent from WR & TE from all our players.

I could see it panning out this way, but am not sold on Waller yet.

After yet another injury to Camp (the quad injury), I just don't see him making the team honestly.

Too early to tell.  But if he misses any significant time from training camp, he's gonna have a serious uphill battle to make the team. You can't make the team if you're always in the training room.
