Then they're both busts and people should expect them to be nothing more than detours for us.

They really should consider coming up with new acronyms. It's a bit hilarious.

Sounds like Marlon Brown and DeAndre Carter had a great practice stacked ontop of a great practice yesterday. In fact it sounds like the entire WR group is taking advantage of every opportunity they get. Most of those guys are getting a opportunity to run with the 1st and 2nd units so they are getting plenty of work. I love the way Harbs runs his practices.

Heard that Terrence Brooks took first team reps and looked really good during 11 on 11 drills. I really think he's one of those guys that makes the big jump from year 1 to year 2. I think Brooks, Lewis, Hill and Elam will all play well for this defense. Speaking of Elam, i'm looking the reports on how Pees is using him. No of course his test won't come until the pads come on, but to hear that Elam is spending a lot of time in the box and even bltizing more is great. I think he'd really shine in that type role.

Hear that Urschel is looking really good at Center and Hurst seems to have gotten a lot stronger. If the starters stay healthy, neither guy will see much time this year, but it's great to seem them approach the offense like starters.

Read that Webb looked really good today in practice, covering WRs all over the field, knocking down passes and letting the WRs hear about it. Sounds like the competition between the offense and defense is in mid-season form. I really like hearing that the coaches have been really active and engaged with the players. They are letting their opinions be known be it good or bad plays. I like that because it brings a certain energy to practice.

What I've heard is he's a smooth mover, in contrast to Gillmore, and catches everything thrown his way. He won't be a burner, but he runs well

2. Gillmore is emerging as the # 1 TE

I want to say how much I like Carter. I really think he's going to prove me right and make this team.

A couple weeks ago I said I could see the team only keeping 5 WRs, but if all these guys keep playing as well as reports say, I think it has to be at least 6, maybe 7 if Pitta is placed on PUP. I'm hearing that Waller, Carter and Butler are all getting first team reps right now, which says to me that Trestman can at least see those guys having a role with the offense. If they all get first and 2nd team reps throughout TC and Preseason, that puts, Sr, Brown, Perriman, Aiken, Butler, Carter and Waller all with strong chances to make the team. That doesn't even include Camp, who is basically out of sight, out of mind right now.

If all those guys play really well and you're only able to keep 6, who's that odd man out. I know we have another thread for just that, but it's truly interesting. You'd think it's Butler, but from what I hear that guy is a big play waiting to happen and is proven to be very reliable. Man I'd love to be able to sit in on that final roster meeting and hear what Bobby Engram has to say. Man we need a Ravens Wired, Training Camp addition.

Urschel would start on so many Olines its ridiculous he's a back up.

Perriman had another good Practice consistently getting open, lot of reps, no drops for second day in a row. Apprently Butler didn't drop a pass all day, Flacco still looking sharp. Waller dropping several.

He always says that right up until the player ends up in IR.

Still a long way off, obviously but I think it depends a little on Campanaro's health. I really don't trust that Campanaro can stay healthy but I have a sense that the Ravens love him(Campanaro) and are willing to be patient.

If Campanaro is unhealthy, I think Carter makes it.

So many good receivers....not wishing an injury but it makes me wonder how some of these young receivers(hardy/butler/Waller,etc.) might be stashed for next year.

Yea, he also put the Ravens in a great position when it comes to contract talks with both Yanda and KO. You don't have to overpay to keep either guy if you have a guy like Urschel who can fill either position before moving over to Center.

I'm also very impressed with Hurst. I had a debate last season with, Grim(I think) and I basically said that there wasn't much chance of Hurst making the team and even if he did he wasn't a guy you could or should expect much from. Boy was I wrong on that one. He's definitely a guy I think could start this year if not for Monroe.

I know right. I'd all be in for a XYZ conference. Or better yet a CFC (College Football Conference).

Butler is a really good player. Justmy opinion based on last years pre season and the clips in college.

Butler was definitely in line to be apart of this offense last year. His injury was a legit one, not one where the coaches try to stash a guy for next year.

I like the fact that he's come back this year with the mindset of getting noticed all over again. It'll be interesting to see just how much of a role he can carve out on this team. Can't remember what he looked like on ST during the preseason last year but that'll be an important area for him as well.
