Too Early 2016 Prospect Watch

Dadi is a little light which concerns me a bit as well, has some nice burst though as well.

Garrett is a freaking stud, is he eligible for this year though?

What are your thoughts on Calhoun?

I really liked Calhoun last year, but he does seem a bit slow off the snap and that's a little concerning. I feel like he's more in the mold of current Suggs than prime Suggs. Not that it's a bad thing. I just want a more complete guy. I'd personally rather go for a player (OLB) who is a pass rush stud and hope we can get them to be better at setting the edge. I wouldn't be mad with the pick. I have to study him closer.

I don't think he is, but I haven't a clue. Some sophomores are and some aren't. I won't pretend to know. I just know he stands out to me and if he's eligible, I'd certainly be looking closely at him since he's so young. It would be something to get another young LB to replace another LB who came in really young.

Yeah, Dadi has potential but his weight worries me. Light guys don't hold up in the NFL and it's easy to say he can gain weight but that's sometimes easier said than done. I'm particularly impressed by Nassib from Penn State and Jefferson from MD outside of Jenkins. Jenkins looks like a dominant player in all honesty. I really would love Bosa, but Jenkins wouldn't be a bad consolation prize.

I also like Dadi (a little light, though)

He's more than a little light... He's 225 pounds, currently. He'd need to add like another 30 pounds to be in contention as a Ravens 3-4 OLB. Not to mention he's 6'3", so that frame probably is extremely slight.

Wow, is he that light? I know he looked light but wow. Yeah, that's a bit ridiculous. He needs to hit the gym.

I first noticed it when the commentators said he's lighter than Cordale Jones, so I looked it up and yes, he's 225. He's ridiculously light. It's amazing he's been a DE at all.

Sounds good, I'll probably start looking into guy around bowl season as that is when I get a bit more free time so any info at this point helps

Yeah I didn't realize he was that light, that is something

Garrett is a true sophomore, so no

Thanks for the info officer

While we are on the subject of true Sophmores, was impressed with Leonard Fournette against Mississippi State.

A sleeper guy that i absolutely loved way back in his freshman year is Malcolm Mitchell, WR, Georgia, since his freshman year he hasn't been healthy. But this year he's healthy and I think he'll make some noise. I see him as a Derrick Mason esque receiver, not someone that'll put up huge stats but he's super reliable. Over two games this year coming off a season ending injury last year he's had 7 rec for 88 yards and 1 TD, he's on pace for a good season in a run first offence. As a mid/late round WR i think he's a legit option.

So, two notes that I was reading.

1. Kendall Fuller is really falling off hard in this cornerback class. Unlikely he doesn't go in the first, but at this point, it's possible. I'd take him in a heartbeat if he's still there in the second.

2. Apparently a lot of scouts have concerns at this point as to whether Scooby Wright III is big and strong enough for the pros and looks unlikely to go on day one. I'll admit I don't know much about him, but a lot of people seem very high on him

On Scooby Wright I would agree fully with the supposed 'scouts' that he is not a day one pick, he has a lot of size question marks and I am not sure his game translates as well from college to the NFL. Could be very wrong but would not surprise me if he goes much lower than we expect or hype him up

For what it's worth, Matt Miller has him in the top 15 in his mock drafts, or top 25. Either way, he's got him in the first round, but I can't remember who to.

I don't know, I don't usually start scouting until the winter.

Someone tell me what they think of Kemoko Turay.

I saw just a little bit of him last year. Seems another one of those 'light' ones that fits better in 4-3. He's got moves and plays a lot tougher than what his frame would suggest though.

Matt Miller mocked him to the Ravens in the first.

Really like what I've seen from kentrell brothers ILB from Mizzou, and I've been high on Ezekiel Elliot since last year, on another note if we could somehow get fournette in 2 years that'd be amazing he looks like the second coming of AD we would probably have to pull off a Julio jones type trade though.

I think my biggest complaint about Kendall Fuller (my favorite potential prospect this year) is that he bites too often on double moves.

I was very hopeful for another receiver, like Treadwell or Boyd, but I don't think that happens with the Suggs injury.

I think it's going to be a tough draft.  OLB, WR, and CB are obvious needs.  I wouldn't even throw out LT as an option, either.  Those are some hard needs to hit, too.

Well, if they hit Fuller or Boyd in the first, I'd be thrilled.

Its early but I have seen Wright in the first of quite a few mocks, perhaps he'll fall out post injury but as of now almost everywhere has him day 1 (at least from what I've seen)

I wouldn't be upset if we took a LT in round 1, its quite clear at this point that we'll hold on to Monroe until his contract is up then he's out, he just can't be relied on to stay healthy. Taking a guy in the first and letting him groom behind Monroe until his contract is up is a good idea. But we can go a million different ways this year from the looks of things, unlike this past draft where it was pretty much consensus that it'd be a WR or CB.

Leonard Floyd would be good for us if he bulked up.

That's actually the guy I wanted when I saw the mock draft if all those first round players were the same first round picks in April/May

Hes a natural pass rusher. He needs to bulk up, if he did he would be a great pick for us.

Needs.

Pass Rusher

Pass Rusher

CB #2.

WR #2(I believe in Perriman)

We're not getting a good pass rusher, a #2 Cormer and a #2 receiver in one draft. We're in rebuild mode. Grab some popcorn, it'll take a while

I want a pass rusher more than anything. I think Upshaw should be allowed to walk and we get his replacement in the draft who can also eventually replace an aging Suggs. There is no bigger problem than OLB. Of course, Ozzie will very likely sign an older veteran in FA to compensate and not make this a great need, but it's clear this is a position we know we must address.

I'd like Leonard Floyd as well. He's got a lot of talent as an OLB.

So, we're talking in terms of a lot of backend talent, here. Imagine that the Ravens have another 2013, or even worse, and pick in that top 16 range. Then who do you all start looking at?

I don't know. I've wondered the same thing. If we can get a standout FS, I would go for that. I really do like Ramsey from FSU. That stud FS would go a long way a la Earl Thomas from SEA.
