Too Early 2016 Prospect Watch

I think MLB is going to be an underrated need. Daryl Smith might be retiring/on his last legs/cut and Brown just hasn't panned out yet. We don't know what we have.

Sorry to say it. But if Myles Jack is there somehow I don't see any way we don't take him. He's just awesome in coverage. Something we could use a little bit of.

But I doubt he'll be there tbh. We need an edge setter. I like Z Smith but he's honestly like another McPhee to me.

As others have said it greatly depends on the way the draft plays out, but if they get a shot at a really talented cornerback early in the draft that would be a great pick up. Then the defensive backs won't be quite so dependent on Jimmy Smith's health. The corner for LSU, Tre'davious White, would be a very good addition to the Raven's defense.

Its obvious that we need a safety in next years draft, which is why I would really like to see us picking up Jeremy Cash S from Duke. The guy looks really instinctual in his play. He could be for us what Elam was supposed to be. Really good at defending the run and pass from around the box from what I could see looking at his game against Miami. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k8BX9Jv7LbA

we won't be taking a safety and we really don't need anymore

If a real difference making safety is there you take him or even trade up to get him. No questions asked. Because there are few and far between coming into the league.

Either Jack or Jaylon Smith could be great Daryl replacements.

One potentially interesting midround prospect is Zeek Bigger, ILB from East Carolina. In truth he's more of a big safety than a typical linebacker. However, the Ravens have a great NT and big enough DEs that they could try a small ILB. He plays exceptionally fast, and for once the team would have a linebacker that's great in coverage. He could be just the thing to counter the quick passing game that teams like to use against the Ravens.

Someone say my boy Myles Jack? I'd love to have him here. Not sure we'll have a shot but absolutely!

If we have a shot a Jack then we probably had a pretty disappointing season. He's got the size and power of a linebacker but the speed and coverage ability of a corner. He's special

Is he the one from UCLA?

I'll try to watch Emmanuel Ogbah, Oklahoma State this season. Noticed him, well - everybody did, last year when he wrecked Seminoles all game. Reminds me little bit of Sizzle.

I watched a lot of Big 12 games last year, so I saw him a good bit. He's a beast, but he still needs a tad bit of refining to reach his full potential. He did win the Big 12 DL of the year award over Malcom Brown and Shawn Oakmen however, which says a lot about his game.

Isn't Shawn Oakman super hit or miss and boom or bust?

Was just going to say - unbelievable physically, great athlete but very raw skill wise. One to watch this year definitely - if he makes good progress, he will go early in draft.

I am very happy NZ Sky is showing ESPN coverage of Oklahoma State vs Central Michigan live today. Early opportunity to watch Ogbah.

At Cornerback I Think We May Need To Take A Glimpse At Kevin Peterson Out Of Oklahoma State We Keep Talking About Transitioning To More Man Coverage He Holds Up On His Own An Always Wraps Up The Ball Carrier

All the physical tools right now but needs to iron out the inconsistencies in his game.  Similar to Arik Armstead in a way right now.

From what I've heard, Armstead has been well ahead of where many people thought he would be.

Everything I heard about Oakman is kinda similar to what I heard about Hunt. Like you said, great physical tools, but a lot of polish needed.
