schaubs primary job is this...

play like he plays so we can lose out and pick first overall.

if we get first overall i really hope we invest on the offense and take tunsil or trade back and take stanley, i dont see the value for bosa first overall, hes a 2nd or 3rd overall guy to me, and after seeing what james hurst does everytime he takes the field, i think we need to stop gambling with injured or horrible LT's.

If we have #1 overall I honestly hope we trade back a few picks for even a decent haul. I'm not talking ten picks but like two to four

same, but if we are picking somewhere between 4th and 8th we cant afford a trade back

Yeah I somewhat agree. It of course all hinges on who's been picked and who's there and who's behind us and their potential selection whether we can truly afford to trade back.

I don't think I've seen A'shawn Robinson's mentioned once in the draft section, is anyone interested in him? I know he's not quite as highly ranked as Bosa and Nkemdiche but he's still very talented from what I've seen.

Those braces on both Tunsil's knees make me a bit uneasy tbh. I know they may not mean much but I'd still be little apprehensive. And what's this talk about #1 pick? Not gonna happen.

I think it's a need VS draft position thing with him. If we end up not getting in the top-10, I think his name will come up more often.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that, but it's a real concern for him with the injuries. I think he broke his leg but he's looked OK after coming back from it late in the year last year.

Yeah, I'm not 100% sure where he is projected but if it's late first does anyone see him as a candidate for a trade up from our presumably high 2nd round pick?

I can see it but I hope not. I like him, but we really need other positions a lot more than a DT, even one of his ilk. I'd rather go with Myles Jack, Tyler Boyd, Ezekiel Elliott, or someone like that over him.

we may not be first overall but at 3-7 and with schaub at qb its a legit possibility. losing to cleveland will even up our records but give them a distinct head to head advantage, and after that were in contention with tenn and SD, i think we end up top 3.

i expect us to lose out, with this roster and matt schaub at qb, we dont stand a chance.

Alabama are the team I started watching a lot of to get into college football and he tends to stand out (along with a few others) every single game. Cyrus Jones looks a decent prospect at CB too. I try not to comment too much on college players as I have no idea how much they compare to the rest of those in college football.

If we end up trading very high pick for a bunch, I wouldn't be opposed at all taking Robinson or Henry or both, regardless of our depth at those two positions. As always, we'll first address our needs in FA as much as we can, then look to draft best available players. Depending on how far down and up we go in this hypothetical trade, Robinson and Henry have a real shot of being true BPA at some point in the first round.

I wouldn't be opposed to drafting a DE/DT early(and when I say that, I mean 3-4 DE to avoid any confusion) but if we do, then I would want them to bring at the very least some pass rush to the table. Defending the run is always big but it doesn't matter if we can't defend the pass and we really need someone who can rush the passer. That is one of the reasons I am open to Nkemdiche as his burst inside could cause some havoc and a certain QB(most QBs but a certain QB in particular) hates pressure up the middle. We would need to use him to his strengths but hopefully we are competent enough to do that if we take him. How is Robinson in the pass rush department?

He's DT with pretty incredible athletic abilities for his size, can stuff the run but also put lot of inside pressure on QBs.

A majority of college teams require their OL to wear knee braces as a preventative measure

thoughts on jordan jenkins and dadi nicholas? both 2nd-3rd round grades, both are seen as solid pure pass rushers.

I like Jenkins and even Nicolas but Nicolas is very very light and needs serious weight. As a result, I wouldn't take him until the fourth.

Jenkins is a guy I'm not sure about. He reminds me of Golden to Floyd's Ray.

I got around to watching some film last night, I came away super impressed by Shaq Lawson he's quickly becoming my favorite guy next to VH3 I think we could realistically trade back and still get him. He doesn't have the numbers that other guys I like have (Nassib Ogbah) but he looks really polished, moves really well at 275 pounds has a multitude of rush moves including a spectacular spin move he already has some experience rushing the QB standing up and with his hand in the dirt, he even drops into coverage every once in a while and looks pretty good at it. You look at his stats and they are decent but don't really stand out, he didn't have a sack against Notre Dame but he beat Ronnie Stanley quite a few times with bull rushes and his patented spin move.

Clemson, right? I need to watch him. I'm going to make an effort to do such. He's one of the few I haven't seen and I keep hearing great things

yea, Clemson I was watching jayron Kearse and Lawson made a few plays so I decided to start watching him instead. I'd highly recommend checking him out.

I've been watching a lot of Noah Spence lately. He's a very impressive pass rusher and a solid run stopper. He needs some work in coverage though. He could be a great bargain pass rusher what with his character concerns. But he seems like he has resolved them at least a fair amount.

I like Ogbah a lot but I think I'm In the same boat right now, Ogbah is dominating with mostly strength and athleticism but Lawson seems like he works hard on his Technique which you don't always see with guys coming out of college, they are really close talent wise to me but Lawson seems like more of a unanimous first rounder to most whereas Ogbah is kind of all over the place.

If our FO had any allegiance to UMD they would have drafted Stefon Diggs instead of freaking TRAY WALKER to end the 4th round. SMH! Our P/K return woes would have been non-existent and we would have had a true #2 WR from the start of the season.

stop crying its over and done with the reason they didn't draft diggs bc diggs was cocky it was stated

Diggs is undersized and seemed injury prone. I can fully understand why the front office was wary of drafting him, and why a lot of other teams didn't draft him.

If he had lasted to us in the 5th I think we would have taken him.

I just heard an interview with diggs the other day and he didn't come across as cocky one bit. He was actually quite the opposite...pretty modest, stand up guy. Just saying. Woulda coulda shoulda.

That's dumb if we passed on him because he was cocky
